The noticeable thing here was that the players ran in waves, with all defenders running together to receive the overlap handball. It looked like pretty aggressive run out of the backline

Thanks SJ (and others). Wondering when the team meetings happen about how they're looking to play this year in terms of game style, the game plan etc. Presumably that doesn't happen until the rest of the players get back... or has that already happened?

AMW in for a HUGE 2026

Don’t get me wrong, hope you’re right mate, but the boy hasn’t even past 12months post ACL. I’d be tempering expectations this year & just hoping he can get through without any hiccups, gain some confidence back in his body then hit 26 pre season with some real vigour.

Second day in. They were keen and out earlier than advertised.

Miochek and AMW are in rehab, and running extensively.

They are pulling Steele, CJ, Henderson, and Johnson out of the group on a regular basis to run.

They ran them much harder than on Monday. They ran 700 to 900 meter boundary runs (distance depending on which group), on two occasions. After both runs they needed recovery minutes, and got round each other. They also did a couple of team sprints through the middle approximately 120 meters.

There was also less contact today.

Jones is being given more responsibility in some sims, and seems to be handling it well.

King continues to add his voice frequently.

They are letting them play footy in the sims in a bit of a Laissez-faire mold. They were using plenty of spread, with leads out the back.

One of the sims had them compete for 4 quarters. First two for 3 minutes and the next two for 2 minutes. The offensive had an extra 4 players at least, so the defense had not much of a chance. They changed the teams offense/defense style after each quarter. In the end, the winning team got a goal after the siren, they only had 15 seconds to go coast to coast (¾ of the field). Bowey finished it. Quick footy movement, about 14 goals each over the 10 minutes (84 to 90). They put a fair bit of pressure on the execution, as any misses slowed the scoring down.

Lovely weather down at the Paddock.

Great intentions and intensity, from the squad.

You make a good point but geez it’s hard not to get excited. Andy runs without issue, he moves really well and he looks great. He hasn’t lost any of his enthusiasm and his smile is even bigger than before, if that’s even possible.

Kolt has gained a couple of years of maturity in the space of two months. Honestly, I’ve never seen a stronger case of “smartened up” ever. Idk what he was told in his exit meeting but whatever it was it’s working a treat. There’s residual cheekiness when talking to me in private but on the whole he’s grown up a bunch.

do you remember a couple of months ago dear @Ghostwriter that i wrote about this and was so ambiguous you don't know what the hell i was taking about? Now you do :-)
