amazing defence

We've done it. We've finally reached a moment of women's football triumph so intense Ghosty is too absorbed in the moment to post on here.

Great fighting win. MFC finally wins a final! The drought has broken ...

Down in the change rooms hugging the players !

What an outstanding, gutsy win by our girls. We are still alive in ‘25! ❤️💙

Hore could easily play in the mens league

Never seen a more well rounded player, from sublime skill to toughness and leadership and goal kicking

3 goals and 27 in 70 minutes

what would she do in 130 minutes!?

Full credit to the girls and thoroughly deserved. They are great ambassadors for our club. With the outs I thought they were up against it but should have known better than to doubt the character of this team and I won’t so I’m calling it now it’s HOO ROO to the Roo’s.There are not enough superlatives to describe Kate Hore the footballer.

On a side not Melbourne has been reprimanded over its handling of Eden Zanker concussion. GAGF AFL. And have a good look at yourself with your [censored] umpiring and scheduling. Give em Hell Dee’s.

What?! How ridiculous... AFL loves to find a way to kick the boots in...

That’s a win to be bloody proud of.

The girls responded when challenged, kept composure and never gave up. On ya, gals!

Reprimanded for what. She passed the test and mick decided to withdraw her anyways as she looked shaky

It was brilliant. A true captain’s goal.

Great response in the 2nd half.

Will need to play 4 perfect quarters next week to have any chance over the Roos though.

Heath, Hore & Gillard…..wow. Without them we were toast.

Great marking and goals to Wotherspoon. Really showed up the other forwards!

Best move was Harris into ruck. Really stopped the rot in the middle and forced her into the action.

Disgraceful umpiring no 9. At one centre bounce Adelaide were certain to get a 666 call with a late change, and he called the Adelaide winger into the centre square to avoid it happening…unbelievable!!!

Bannan is not a tall fwd. Just doesn’t have the craft. She was beaten to the ball all game and can’t take a mark unless she can have 3 grabs at it

Put her on the wing and in space when Zank is back. She would be a nightmare match up

That win was the epitome of ‘Demon Spirit’ if I’ve ever seen it! I’m so proud of our girls!

❤️💙

It's Game Day on Friday night. ANZAC Eve. The big stage at the ‘G. Under the lights, in front of a packed house, this is where moments are made. Can the Dees rise to the occasion and deliver on the big stage, or will Richmond spoil the night? • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.

From the outset, the Casey Demons lacked any spring in their steps. They were out-hustled and out-bustled and finally outplayed by the Brisbane Lions by 38 points on their home turf in perfect conditions at Casey Fields.
