Fly with a cheap shot on Clarry ‘being difficult to get a hold of’ because “he must be having a good time in Sydney”.

Everyone is aware of Clarry’s past, a ‘no comment’ would have been more appropriate from someone of his experience and stature.

Fly is quickly spiralling from ‘industry darling’ to ‘bitter oddball’.

He is an arrogant know it all. I never bought his fake nice guy persona.

Maybe clarry is ignoring their calls because he doesn’t want to go to the pies.

He needs to get out of Victoria and the fishbowl of the AFL media

He should focus his energy on the Daicos family and their feelings towards his club.

If you would have told me this time 4 years ago that in 4 years I would be reading this thread and the Trac one I would have sent you to the loony bin.

I just feel sad about this whole situation, it'll feel so wrong to me seeing Clarry finish his career at another club.

Yep there is definitely not enough attention, focus and energy given to Nick or Josh or their dad at Collingwood or the AFL in general

It's almost like, you heap so much attention, fame, money and praise on a young impressionable kid, and that kid turns into... an entitled diva

Who would have seen this coming!

After I had to witness Messi leave FC Barcelona nothing surprises me anymore.

Professional sports are a business first and foremost, love the club.

Very similar to Trac actually the way he wanted to leave the year before!

Personally I will find it easier with Tracc and Oliver since they are leaving, going to Interstate clubs, as appears to be the case.

You hear less about the smaller Interstate clubs than the big Victorian ones and when they are playing at the G, it’s usually in front of mostly Dees fans.

It would be horrible having 80000 feral Pies fans cheering for Tracc or Oliver.

More lies, this time for McRae

I haven't ever heard of anyone having a good time in Sydney

If he goes to Pies, Mihocek and Cox would not be a bad trade.

GWS would also need to at least give a very good player and fringe. But I dont think they would.

So it seems Collingwood are coming 2nd in the pursuit of Clarry. I have firm mail that if this does come to fruition the Pies will approach the AFL to request a change to trading rules where coming 2nd actually trumps the team that have reached an agreement and automatically secures the contract. The AFL are now contemplating what to call this new rule exclusively available to the Pies. Thoughts?

Right now Collingwood are the guy that the girl has a date with next week but they keep leaving desperate messages on the answering machine..

Melbourne midfielder Clayton Oliver is set to request a trade to the GWS Giants after they edged out Collingwood in the race for the midfielder.

The Pies were eager to explore a potential partnership between the 28-year-old and superstar Nick Daicos in their midfield, but since Oliver has been in Sydney over the past week, they have found it extremely difficult to pitch their vision to the 2021 premiership winner.

While they are still optimistic of getting in front of Oliver, Collingwood concedes they are a long way behind in the chase for Oliver in comparison to the Giants, who are now extremely confident that their pursuit has been well-received and are hopeful a trade request will be imminent.

It’s understood a key part of their pitch to the three-time All-Australian is the allure of removing himself from the Melbourne bubble.

Maybe that’s why he ain’t picking up the phone McRae. Reckons he has little big man syndrome.

We could essentially be moving Oliver on for a third rounder, I wouldn't be expecting much back in return. Negotiating power with Oliver is fairly low too, given the circumstances.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
