Lock up your ....... well everyone!

Got mentioned on Fox Footy’s Trade show last night that De Goey was of interest and the pies are interested in trading if the deal is right. Sam Edmund mentioned De Goey this morning and Mentioned the suns and saints as teams interested

Saints perhaps makes some sense given theyve pulled out of the Leek deal - saving $ for something?

where's @Demon Forever

I asked a question and was accused of being a person with inside knowledge on the first post.

No idea where it come from. Only mentioned what I heard on TV shows and Trade radio.

It may open the door it may not I don’t know. Only saying what I heard

Suns make sense if he wants out of the Melbourne footy bubble.

Saints make sense for the reasons you just said.

His name keeps popping up so who knows what happens

Maybe GC showing interest in Goey to bluff and sort the Trac deal?

de goey would replace humphry... and be an upgrade in the near term id have thought. ie if theyre loading up for 2026 trac and de goey is a powerful upgrade

Interesting thought.

Surely they wouldn't have the cap space for both would they?

May be a silly question, but do they have the same cap space as all clubs or is there some kind of advantage to GWS/GC as nepo babies still?

Not sure how they're fitting everyone in anymore.

Just patiently waiting for this bad-boy to hit the double century.

I feel like De Goey and Trac play similar roles - why would you go for both when you already have BH in the team?

Seems more like the media dragging collingwood fans into more clicks etc.

If there was truth to it, it would help because if they trade two top ten picks for Trac, then what do they have left for De Goey if they need points?

That’s where BH comes in.

GC Receive: Trac, De Goey + Academy players

Melb Receive : Humphrey

Coll Receive : Pick 8 ( or 15, whatever )

GC retain either 7&15 or 7&8 to move for academy points. Gain 2 x stars. Lose 1 of their 8 future stars.

pies get back in the draft fold.

Dees get a future star to replace a departing one.

Everyone wins.

Well so far they've traded out Ainsworth, Flanders, Rosas,
Swallow retired, Sexton delisted.
JUH will come in on the cheap.

I'm sure they could juggle some things around, especially bringing in young academy players on lower $ for now.

Relax champion I was asking a question I wasn’t definitely saying Humphrey is happening

Probs best you don’t call NC ‘Champion’

Especially in only your second post. It won’t get you far. Take it from me… when I first started posting I was falling over myself trying to be nice and still I routinely found myself crying into my pillow at night 🙃 Things are vastly different now. I never get upset about anything on here.

I think the club are more focused on getting the best deal for MFC and don't give a rats otherwise which is how it should be. Fans can worry about others clubs and the optics of 'winning' a trade

That’s OK if we are getting a good deal/ overs, if not, I think it should be taken into consideration.

I don't not believe it, no reason you can't take that to the bank.

Very unlikely to happen now, but I think a few people who came onto this thread to swagger around and assure everyone they were fools for thinking this was anything other than a mirage look a bit silly now.

Careful now, Taci. You’re inching perilously close to MASSIVE egg territory

Getting heated is a good sign as is the De Goey inclusion. Suggests GC aren't certain on Trac deal working.

Trac probably starting to realise Noosa and GC are culturally very different.

Thanks @Demon Forever for the updates.

If things are heated and if the conversations are between melb and gc is there any reason why the media aren’t all over this? I guess it is a good thing though that media aren’t all over it

Have just scrolled through the latest 25 pages of this thread whilst jet lagged at JNB. Hope it gets resolved in our favour before my connection to BUQ in three hours 🤞

I posted an AI image of a bottle of perfume. I'm no stranger to the taste and texture of egg.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.
