NON-MFC: Finals Week 01

Featured Replies

Love to see Maynard charged for that excessive tackle on Anb right at the end there,but we all know it won't happen

As is my tradition when Pies wins finals I’m leaving the state.

Sadly not on a permanent basis.

The Crows are basically the worst side going from D50 to F50 and it showed tonight. They can't score from the back half and they lost one of their best stoppage scorer in Rankine. The Pies are also pretty poor from the back half too but it didn't really matter tonight.

I also think the Crows D50 have been over celebrated. They let a dog [censored] North Melbourne side score 100pts against them in round 24.

I hope the Lions win tomorrow night because I trust the Cats more than the Lions to knock over Collingwood in the Prelim.

I did that in 2018. 23 I hung around. I said tonight if it's a pies cats gf I'm fleeing the country

You can tell the team who hasn't played finals in 14 years compared to the team who has recently played.

Adelaide fumbled, lost all composure & made dumb choices. And I only saw the final quarter.

Plus they let n daicos run around & couldn't tackle them.

A week ago it was all set up.

Filth can thank us for them finishing top 4

And Gold Coast

That [censored] [censored] Maynard crashed ANB then mouthed off at him. Thats why Keays had a go at him. Maynard is a [censored] [censored]. That’s confirmed.

Why did we lose to the Pies ???? Two weeks ago we had them in toast and bottled it!! Now the 7-commentators like Hamish Mcfriendship-bands is creaming his pants over the pies and barring up on Nick Daicos. [censored] !!! We had them beaten.

Crows were in the 2017 Grand Final. 👍🏻 8 years ago !!

This was written in the stars. So easy to predict.

Collingwood had no form to speak of but thanks to us and Gold Coast choking on that Friday night two weeks ago, they fell into the top 4 and got the perfect match up against an inexperienced, Rankine-less, under enormous pressure Adelaide. They would have been far less of a chance against Brisbane, Geelong or Hawthorn but now they get a week off and a home prelim.

Ugh.

And if it did happen, they’d get him off at the tribunal.

Pies will have a much bigger challenge against Brisbane or Geelong in the prelim than tonight V Adelaide. Two finals hardened clubs as opposed to tonight’s opponent who had no idea what they were doing.

Nibbler has now played in 5 finals losses in a row. Poor bloke

It will probably be 6 in a row next week.

Can see Hawthorn (or to a lesser extent GWS) knocking them off next week.

Crows absolutely out-coached tonight and failed to make changes to slow the momentum.

I was thinking the other way around: I’d back GWS more so than Hawthorn to knock them off. That might be wishful thinking though, do NOT wanna see Hawthorn advance.

Absolutely nailed it. Crows were always the best opponent for the Pies.

A win like tonight probably doesn’t hurt Skipworth’s credentials for the MFC gig, who’s ostensibly the #2 seed behind Bucks (if you believe Jay Clark)

Thinking it may go back to the brayshaw thuggery

Sickening to hear how the Fox pundits are trying to get DeGoey off. Ralphy was the only one who said it should be a week but Cleary got a call from the producers and changed tac to then say “ Christens should find a way to get him off” cannot make this up.

If De Goey doesn’t cop a suspension, then I think that’s definitive proof that:

  • the AFL protect Collingwood;

  • the AFL hold ‘big name’ players and lesser known players to different standards;

  • the AFL consider the ‘brand’ more important than upholding the laws of the game;

  • the AFL are unethical, lack integrity and are corruptible.

Whilst I agree and they do, it’s also very weak and I wouldn’t be surprised if they give him a fine.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

    It’s late February. Two teams widely predicted to finish near the foot of the AFL table in 2026 face off against each other in sweltering 30-degree heat deep in outer suburbia in a match simulation with fresh new faces and uneven team numbers. There are no nearby sheep stations on offer; the result promises nothing more than bragging rights for the winner. Nevertheless, the loser appears hopelessly adrift, whereas the other seems to have found its footing after a couple of years of struggle – perhaps a hint at bigger things to come?
