Petty cant catch a cold

4 marks, 2 contested

missed another contested mark based on that horrible umpire call

Hasn’t been great but doing ok

How was that not deliberate out of bounds in our forward pocket near the end of the quarter? The Dogs played literally placed the ball over the like like in fear of further contact. The umpire was right in front of him and didn't call it. Petty rightly pointed at the ump and let him know. There's been a few disgracefully one sided and incorrect umpiring calls in that second quarter. I hope the club hits the AFL with a please explain.

How can you literally walk the ball over the line like you’re scoring a try and get away with it, yet you kick it 50m and a leg break over the line is paid insufficient intent???? Absolutely comical and it happens all the time.

Oskar Baker really has become a far far better footballer tham what he was at the Dees

How typical is that

Four marks including two contested is pretty good. I reckon he’s having a good game today. Floating down back and then presenting at half back as the outlet kick.

He's also dropped 4 or 5 he'd usually take

Typical MFC ‘almost’ game

great play then a bad kick or handball

so hard to watch

So now you can just place the ball over the boundary in front of the umpire. Good to know.

Go easy on that ump, was more than 2 meters away after all 🥴

Tommy Mc keeping Darcy quiet has been huge. Will definitely get his due credit in the media.

Not if we do it. If memory serves .

Losing Gus, and Anb along with Langdon a shadow of his old self then add Oliver's sloppiness and Traccs failure to touch the ball.....this midfield is a rabble.

Pit Cully and Chin and Bowey on there.

Not like we may lose a clear win if we do.

This caretaker coach is a puppet on Goody's strings.

The sooner we get a brave coach, the better.

Nice to see Fritta back to his old self.

Rivers and KP playing very well.

Turner too.

We were pinned for one earlier in the year.

New coach is playing a Roscoe Lyon defence, just need to score a few lucky ones, going our way.

We can’t kick to forwards advantage when they are literally on their own.

Culley looks the goods

He'll be an exciting watch over the next 12 months. Could be anything. Can play anywhere.

Just hanging in there but credit to everyone so far for putting in a big effort against classy opposition.

Only first-half disappointment is Petracca's almost total lack of impact.

I’m happy for him

he has been in and out of the side but at 27 he is looking more settled Hope he keeps his spot in finals if they make it

The sooner TMac and Melksham get extensions for '26 the better.

TMac has been very good on Darcy.

Dogs look cleaner and move with purpose. We're doing a lot of kick and hope stuff. If Pickett doesn't get it through the middle then I don't see a meaningful kick into the 50. Frustrations boiled over when Melksham was on his own with about 10 metres on him and all that was needed was a dink kick over the top

Petty has dropped a few bit as mentioned by others he is still giving us a target to kick to. JVR in the ruck too much and Max forward doesn't fill me with hope. Seasons cant end soon enough.

Would help if he didn't fumble evertime he touches it !!!

And Goodwin dropped TMac for about 6 weeks in which we could only manage one win in that time. How dumb was that to stuff our season?

I dont usually go out of my way to support ex players but I can't help but admire what he's done. Really happy for him

Defence has held up well. Adams doesn’t look amazing but has done a couple of nice things. Naughton and Darcy have three goals but none from actually impacting in the air. TMac should play next year.

I was actually thinking when Rivers hit up JVR on the lead that I haven’t seen that from us in so long, but it’s been more of the same since then. Not a huge fan of Melksham giving the young guy a spray, but can definitely empathize with him.

Should be way further behind TBH and that non deliberate on Busslinger is low key one of the worst decisions I’ve seen. You were right there!

Hmm half time Petracca not worth a crumpet. Honestly if that is what we can expect for the future then let him go. He must be the worst player on the ground at half time.

He has the stickest hands I have seen in a long while.

How are the doom and bloomers coping with Naughton and Darcy not taring us apart?

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
