A great segment. Do yourself a favour and watch it. Max is a not only a great ruckman but a real entertainer. Funny and articulate - something special.

An obvious career in the media post football awaits.. he’s a very funny and articulate performer

Terrific, the club is in crisis and Gawn has a good laugh with Andy Maher, nobody cares Gawn, grow up and represent the club, time to move on and find a real leader , we have heard all your funnies before.

This might be one of the worst posts I've ever seen on demonland

It's possible that we wouldn't even have won the flag in 21 if Gawn weren't captain. Do you really think it's helpful for everyone to be desperately miserable their every waking minute while we flounder?! Your post is dreadful!

Max was stumped by the question ‘who’s the next captain of Melbourne’. So I feel slightly better about not having an answer myself 😂

Not surprised he named Rick, though

Some people thrive on misery, and misery loves company.

Oh, wow, on May, “it’s a hard game to adjudicate” thanks pal, …..teach your boy to sing the navy blues, video it, and send it all about, it’s not funny champ.

Your job is to stand up for the club and Steven May.

Absolutely, he’s a top choice. My new roughie for captain 2030 is Disco

Imagine if Bluey was a more committed supporter, a more articulated poster, a calmer person.

Would we have one another flag? Quite possibly.

Have you ever played at a footy club or just read about it in the library?

It takes all sorts but they have one common goal which connects them.

Gawn went after xerri when he knocked out sparrow a few weeks ago.

Gawn is the only premiership captain in my lifetime. I'm backing him in

If we had things Bluey's way Sam Weideman would be captain by now. He seems to be the only MFC player he's ever actually liked lol.

The Essendon player delisted after he couldn't get a game in their 11th-place team? 🤣🤣🤣

Maybe, and I do like Disco, but I think he could have some tough competition form the likes of Bowser and Langford of that generation of players.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
