Great to see Kolt and Jeffo respond

Jeffo, Kenfield and Adams all with another preseason will offer us quality options to build on at AFL level.
You can see the difference a month at AFL level has provided for Jeffo at VFL level. He has been dominant and should have 4-5 goals.

Kolt showing the natural hunting instincts of an inside mid with some defensive intent. Just build his VFL level midfield game for the rest of the year. That will hold him in better stead for 2026 than being subbed on and off as a half forward at AFL level.

Agree on Kolt, however Jefferson will need to show more against better vfl teams before I am convinced.

Agree. Zebras are bottom club and the alignment is ending. Little oppo today!!

Need players like Kolt and Laurie and Jeffo to really stand up when we play Lions and the Hawks in the final VFL games.

Small bugbear of mine in terms of coverage. Would be nice if the first ball up and 5 seconds post wasn't obscured with the lingering graphic they have during the breaks.

Jeffo shows some pace and laces out Kentfield for his 3rd. Or was it his 2nd, I've lost count

Jeffo could easily have 4-5 goals already today. He's presenting really well but has missed some easy shots.

Sometimes you need to get thrown to the wolves. He has benefited from experiencing the intensity and intent required to play in the firsts.

Clueless statement. He has been dreadfully managed this year to his own detriment & that of the team. And he's not the only one managed poorly.

JEFFERSON HANGER ALERT!

Jeffo with the hanger from three back! And misses again.

El jefe again with the strong mark!!!

Another miss sadly, could have been a huge day for him

Spent some time this quarter watching Kolt at stoppages. Clearly knows where and when to go and is getting to the ball drop well. On the spread is running to right places. Skills looking good. However, he is often flat footed, rarely pushing with bodily strength against his opponent to dominate position, and lots of walking when the ball is not near him. I agree with others above that he needs a full preseason, and I would have him next to Viney and Clarry to test and develop his physicality and intensity.

Jeffo is doing everything right except his marking and kicking. Which means he is getting the major things wrong.

I love both these boys' potential but need to see development over the next preseason.

That covers it sns.

Casey slice their way through Sandy and Sharp kicks his second.

Agree with nearly all these comments but Jeffos marking has been a highlight this game save for his dropped mark in the first quarter. Clunked some impressive ones.

Yes he's been managed so poorly managed, to his own detriment - but hes just had one of his better games for the year? Doesn't compute mate

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demons’ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.

  • REPORT: Richmond

It seemed as if the whole purpose of the Anzac Eve clash at the MCG between the Demons and the Tigers was building toward that single, unforgettable moment when Kozzie Pickett soared above Campbell Gray and all but fittingly etched his name onto the face of the 2026 Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes Medal.
