Big game this Friday night V Essendon.

The major positives about this match are:

* We can't play any worse than last week,

* McLean can't play any worse than last week,

* Pickett starting to sweat off the alcohol

* Juice Newton may make his debut,

* Dees usually respond after a shocker.

So who's going?

What's your non Telstra Dome excuse/reason if you're not?

Crowd? (I'm tipping 39,000....30,000 EFC fans, 7,000 MFC and 2,000 neutrals)

Can we get up?

I'll be there...

Going with a couple of Essendon supporters too, so unless Juice gets a game and Brock is carving them up, I'll have nothing to rave about. Even if we're winning, they'll continue to remind me that we lost to Richmond last week.

Oh the shame!

If you asked me last Friday - I would've said get stuffed. But now that all players are on notice & playing for their future - might make an interesting remainder of the year.

I'll certainly be there.

If Rama plays we have NFC. Could be like Jason M's return match for North.

Great !! guaranteed win for Essendon

Nathan Brown one week

Rama the next week.

What did Melbourne do to deserve this season from hell

(Great effort for Rama to come back though)

I'm not sure I'm at all interested.

I still haven't accepted last weeks performance and am not sure if I'll bother...

Come on Mick, suck it up!

As if you'll miss Newton's debut ;)

If Newton debuts - I will turn up, and I will donate $200 to the Demonology/Demonland 150 Club.

How does that sound?

you know it will never happen newton wont play... ( although i hope he does... i doubt it ... do you think he ll play ????

ill only turn up if newton gets a gig also....

It would be great for the club - and the site - if people could also make similar pledges to the 150 Club.

The Club surely couldn't ignore if we managed to get a couple of K together!

If we get at least a K between here and Demonology, I'll send a letter to both newspapers on Wednesday explaining what we're doing. The club needs to know what the supporters want.

I'll donate $50 to the cause (I'd donate more, but car service comes first)!

I'm doing it more so we can see the reaction of the papers than anything else.

"Melbourne supporters desperate for hope- pay money to see the Messiah" :D

I will, but does anyone know how I can pre-book tickets?

I'm pre-booking as I want to get guaranteed ground level and the Essendon dome games are always ticketed.

well it will be my first game for the year as I've been OS, although i don't have any lofty expecations it will be good just to see the boys play...

Thanks for that link.

What are the chances that I wont get in if I jsut rocked up on the night?

And Mick, i'll throw in $20. I wish it could be more, but I don't have a paying job at the moment.

i'll throw in $20 if newton plays this friday.

could one of the mods maybe start a new thread and sticky it where everyone can pledge and we can keep a running total at the top?

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
