8 free kicks in 12 minutes of game time is atrocious.

Why are we continually kicking to one on two FFS?

Long in hope kicks.. they're set up well and mopping up the ground balls as well.

There's no point bombing the ball out of your D vs the Pies as often as we do.

You're just playing into their press and great set up behind the ball.

Gotta be willing to chain, run and overlap into transition more often or the game's as good as done.

Surprisingly we are still in it.

Atrocious.

no way should elliot be allowed that space

Apart from the Sidebottom high, all the frees have been there. We're clearly trying to play physical but are being a bit agricultural

Oh we got one. That ump be spoken to at quarter time.

Yeah Strop.

that why kolt is in the team

great work son

Playing well.

Keep this up Dees!

Hard to listen to Gerard Healy at the ground on SEN. So critical of melbourne even when we kick a goal

️ Tholstrup that's superb

️ Pressure & tackling been AAA so far

It's the ones they refuse to pay against Collingwood. Every week it happens.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
