Correct me if I'm wrong but we'd be death riding the Hawks in this game regardless of how much we Hate Collingwood?

Our run Home could have a similar vibe to ‘87, we need to win games kicking high scores…

IF….. that can happen we will take a spot. 5th is as high as we can aim i think, losing to Essenthing and North has a consequence

That's the first 'not standing' penalty against the filth tonight on about their third or fourth breach.

I have to laugh cause when Scott complained about how often they were doing it many weeks ago, the team they played the week after (was it Norf?), copped about six 50 meter penalties.

Meanwhile the team that caused the origin of the complaint to the AFL (ie the Filth) are, for the most part, allowed to continue on their merry way.

Is Membry just about cooked or my imagination?

If we had a thread titled How The Hell Did We Lose To This Lot (2025)? we could probably add the Hawks to it.

Agreed. We were better than the hawks and ACTUALLY BEAT OURSELVES.

If we went into the Hawks game with the line up against Brisvegas, 6 goals victory hands down!.

They are content creators at best.

Bunch of frauds the Hawks.

That Brisbane game may have broken them, they were in it early

Steven May .... Is that you?

9 minutes ago, whatwhat say what said:

quite honestly if he wasn't their skipper he'd be dropped

has been in very ordinary form for the majority of the season

the real question is who is more overrated him or n.watson?

Hawthorn just lost 7% in a single game.

The simple margin difference between us and them is now just 206. Win or lose, just 3 goals per game better margins cover that gap by the end of the season.

In the spirit of one week at a time, we also go ahead of St Kilda on percentage as well as improving the win-loss if we win by... um... exactly one goal, actually. Yep, that'll do.

Maybe because we had the momentum, kozzie was running into an open goal and got blatantly tripped without being awarded a free kick. Then they went down the other end and kicked a goal.. we would be 6 straight if it wasn't for that blunder that was shown on ever news reel on TV. It's rare if not unheard of for a bad umpiring decision to be shown over and over on every channels mainstream news. It has to be a howler

Those losses to Hawks and GWS hurt. Genuine 8-point games when it comes to our finals chances.

What's happening to the Hawks isn't uncommon. A young team rises ahead of schedule, gets 'found out', takes some losses and loses confidence. They'll be back but it's worrying signs for them right now.

Sicily is the worst captain in the league.

Hawks have been found out for sure

3 losses on the bounce with doggies and crows to come

they are not a lock for finals at all

Here’s to the hawks 7% loss and looking forward to another as soon as they can. !

Death ride any side above us. But win tomorrow. Go Dee’s

That one has a very simple explanation. Kicking accuracy, we should've been 5 goals on top of them at 3 QTR time.

I said it myself couple of weeks ago when we lost against them.

  • PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

With both sides precariously positioned ahead of the run home to the finals, only one team involved in Sunday’s clash at the Adelaide Oval between the Power and the Demons will remain a contender when it’s over.  On current form, that one team has to be Melbourne which narrowly missed out on defeating the competition’s power house Collingwood on King's Birthday and also recently overpowered both 2024 Grand Finalists. Conversely, Port Adelaide snapped out of a four-game losing streak with a win against the Giants in Canberra. Although they will be rejuvenated following that victory, their performances during that run of losses were sub par and resulted in some embarrassing blow out defeats.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.
