Is he one of the Vice Captains this year?

he's in the leadership group and the only one yet to captain from that group.

Now if he could get a really hot girlfirend, his media profile will hit the roof.

i don't think that'll be too hard for our brock!!

yeah i posted this in another thread as well. i feel its a perfect time for him to captain as a feel in job will never carry the same amount of weight, yet we know for brock it will carry the same amount of pride. friday night game in the split round, all eyes on us, our big name player will finally have the chance to quash any doubters or at least prove his merits as the leader of the club.

Mate, all he has to say is that he plays AFL football and he'll have no problems at all ;)

Interesting comparisons made there with Judd.....

and Judd's no oil painting either, perhaps he needed another category in the article:

"HEAD (3)

Not the best bollard to look at in a dinner suit or accross a candle lit table, but idealy suited for pushing through packs.

Having said that, Judd by comparison looks like he was severly beaten with an ugly stick and possibly delivered into this world by pulling on his jaw. Whilst well short of Trevor Barker's legendary looks, Brock can at least stand proud beside David Neitz with his well lived in scone. With a C beside his name McLean is sure to be attatracive to the A list beauties of Melbourne "

"Since the start of 2006, Judd has been No. 1 for points earned per minute on the park with an average of 1.28. McLean has been second with 1.27. There is daylight to third."

thats a very telling stat for anyone who says that one player isnt a massive loss. he just gets so much quality ball, we need him fit and on the park.

Sad indictment ;)

Definitely. I'm sick of injury-plagued Dees - lets hope McLean doesn't miss too many from here on in.

Oh man, how do I always manage to get a mention in every Brock thread?

Firstly, what a brilliant article. I might just have to frame it.

Stevens is absolutely spot on with his assessment of Brock, and he isn't as biased as we are. He is a natural leader, and I agree completely that he should captain us on Friday night.

Secondly, all this talk about his looks is quite ridiculous coming from all you men! :D

He has a hell of a lot going for him, and I'm sure he has no issues picking up women wherever he goes. There is something very attractive about his 'run myself to the ground' work ethic ;)

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

It's Game Day and the Demons are once again faced with a classic 8 point game against a traditional rival on King's Birthday at the MCG. A famous victory will see them reclaim a place in the Top 8 whereas a loss will be another blow for their finals credentials.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
