"Kick a goal son! How good was that!"

Hello, is that me?

I was going off last week about the inconsistency - does my head in

The six day turnaround is a test for players and fitness staff, but does the AFL understand how hard it can be washing and drying a pair of lucky Demons socks with such a short break between games?

Solution - second wear is inside out. Third wear is swap feet. One wash every three weeks.

It’s game day baby. Pumped!

About to consume a few alcoholic beverages in the office and then off to the G.

See you there. Go Dees!

Very Suprised that Goodwin has bought Fritsch back into the side after only 1 week.

Hope it works,

win tonight and there is a pulse left in the Season

I think he needed to after Turner went out to be honest. There’s no Lever, so if May or T-Mac go down, we only have Petty as a reliable like for like.

If Petty isn’t in our forward line and no Fritsch, then it’s Fullarton and a bunch of smalls VS Vlaustin, Broad and Macintosh in the air…. Probably a bad time.

GUILTY as charged, yer 'onour. Not that I've actually managed to see much play this year as Watch AFL and I are having Words - my voucher number doesn't work and I can only watch because some kind Demonlander has loaned me their credentials, but I don't want to rely on that because yannow I paid for a digital membership for myself....

Anyway, GO DEES! I'm off to bed. It's after midnight here and I just can't stay up until 3 or 4am any more. Wrecks me the next day.

I understand that, but we also had 23 tackles in the Forward Line last week.

Fritsch needs to contribute to the Team a lot more…

Hopefully the light has switched on inside his head..

Dees by 3 goals it should be more but we have the lead weight back in the forward line this week.

Classy.

So with Melksham out injured, who would you have brought in ?

I'm here.

Trigger warning- small handful of dees players on the ground in a circle - kicking around a soccer ball.

hopefully they come alive before the last post

All about how hard we work off the ball tonight - our scoring will flow off the back of that.

line for line (no J. Smith)), we have the tiges covered.

In the ground, should be a decent crowd.. Few Richmond folk have infiltrated our area in M51

Hunner percent, zero argument here.

I’ve said it elsewhere on here before but Fritsch has never been strong defensive or pressure wise at all.

What has changed is the goals dried up, which made this wayyyyy more evident.

Had a look at the last few years and the following is his ranking in our team on averages:

          Tackles   Tackle I50  Pressure acts

2021    19th            8th                    14th

2022     24th           7th                   19th

2023    27th            15th                 22nd

2024 28th           11th                23rd

2025     12th 11th             19th

Gates open at 5:30pm (MCC 5pm)

Order of events:

6.50pm - Pre-Match Entertainment
7.01pm - Light Horses Lap of Honour
7.12pm - Observance Ceremony
7.18pm - Joint Banner Run Through
7.30pm - Match Start

Note: they pause entry through all gates during the Observance Ceremony (at 7.12pm). If you're not inside the ground by then, you'll be held outside.

With increased security measures it’ll take longer to process everyone. They really should open the gates at 4:30pm imo. At Easter Monday’s Hawks vs Geelong match there were folks who missed the first quarter due to the time it takes to get everyone in.

thats handy for me to know stuck home and cant be thereSad Season 4 GIF by The Office

I do that all the time same with my jocks

I will be interested to see the way the coaching team perform this evening.

Last week was really the first time I have seen them win the match day coaching. They were positive and proactive.

Need the same tonight.

Want to see pressure, Pressure, Pressure and a clearly defined task for Viney. He responded very well last week.

Go Dees!

Totally agree. Small wins continuously.

With the amount of upsets already in the Season, we can claw our way back, but we must get on a winning streak

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

A few years ago, the Melbourne Football Club produced a documentary about the decade in which it rose from its dystopic purgatory of regular thrashings to the euphoria of a premiership victory. That entire period could have been compressed in a fast motion version of the 2025 season to date as the Demons went from embarrassing basket case to glorious winner in an unexpected victory over the Dockers last Saturday. They transformed in a single week from a team that put in a pedestrian effort of predictably kicking the ball long down the line into attack that made a very ordinary Bombers outfit look like worldbeaters into a slick, fast moving side with urgency and a willingness to handball and create play with shorter kicks and by changing angles to generate an element of chaos that yielded six goals in each of the opening quarters against Freo.
