Part of the interview process involved coaches listing their โ€˜best 25โ€™ Demons players and King firmly put Petracca and Oliver in there.

Yeah but that means absolutely nothing - damned with feint praise. It would be a huge story if one or other of them wasn't in the best 25. They need to be in the best 5.

Trac basically off according to Morris

What he is not reporting is that Dees won't pull trigger unless the ROI is there!!!

Has anyone told King? ๐Ÿ˜…

In all seriousness, King has indicated that he wants to revitalise our senior players and has already reached out to Trac

Not sure heโ€™s going to want to see him leave unless weโ€™re improving with what comes back the other way

I read it more as โ€˜trade will quietly be explored but will quickly be swept under the carpet if the offers are no goodโ€™

i read it as "im gonna tweet about it to get engagement but ive actually got no idea"

I reckon Morris is trying to stir up a story.

Why would Petracca (or Oliver) want to leave!

The protagonists (Roffey, Pert, Goodwin) are gone. New GM FD Strategy that is above Richardson being recruited. So fresh ideas and fresh voices.

Listen to this do the rounds of the 'echo chamber' media. And a fresh round of animosity toward Trac will start up among fans.

Morris should go away and dig muck up elsewhere!

The last thing I will do is read it.

The irony being Steven king was meeting our list management team for the first time at the same time as TM tweet and Steven king confirmed heโ€™s not spoken to trac in person either.

Yeah I think TM is either taking an educated guess or trying to stir up a story.

Only 2 games to report on from weekend, no MRO issues, only 2 games this week.
Need something to talk about it, they're basically Buckley-ed out at this stage.

I should be shattered with this news, but he finished second in the B&F and we still came 14th.

I donโ€™t think Morris makes stories up and I dare say might have some contacts within the Trac camp.

Kings feet have only just gone under the desk, so the next 2 weeks will tell us.

I canโ€™t understand what the reason is that Trac would want to leave. If he does, which I think he will, I assume the โ€˜fresh startโ€™ line will be trotted out, which is just code for not wanting to make public the actual reason.

Heโ€™s performed well post injury and weโ€™ve addressed his concerns. He should be leading the club forward, not trying to sneak a way out.

Is it because there is some animosity within the group towards him? Otherwise it could simply be money related.

It would be incredibly disappointing for him to leave.

After least year Morris is being a little more cautious in this reporting, all the same issues that prevented a trade least year still exist and just like we see with Merrett and Charlie the mechanics to get one of these big trades off the ground makes it to hard to get a deal done

Steven King was very clear that he wants to bring the best out of Trac and Clarry again. I have no doubt that is true.

However, it won't happen if either of those guys are not 100% committed to the cause.

If for the second year running Trac is not fully invested or committed to this club, then as much as it would be a painful breakup, it will also be a necessary one.

King was adamant that he wants a fresh start for everyone, and a clean slate. If Trac is choosing not to take it, then he has to go. We can't keep dragging around players who have no interest in the club.

Having said all that, Morris is a plague and I am not sure how much access he still has to Trac's camp, now that Trac is under a new management, so I'll hold judgement.

I'm pretty sure I'm wrong. But I'd fine if Morris was doing this to set up an opportunity for Trac to come out and publicly declare his intention to stay at the dees.

Like how Morris made up a whole lie about Trac's impassionate speech to the playing group after a win this year?

Worked out really well that one

That was weird. Similar to how the Pies tried to control the narrative about Maynard visiting Gus.

First post, long time Dee fanatic, suffice to say that I cried in 1954 and again in 1958,Iโ€™ve since forgiven the Doggies, but the rage I felt in 58 has never abated,I Still hate the Pies. The question I would like all those advocating we trade either Trac or Clarry to answer is in what world does losing either or both makes us

better side, salary cap, relief maybe, but who do spend it on?nobody wants to come, draft picks in a poor and compromised draft,Iโ€™m sorry I fail to see the logic.

Maybe it's as simple as wanting more followers for brand Petracca. ๐Ÿคท

Iโ€™d make it dry clear what the exit criteria is: We need 2 first rounders coming back. If you need to take a pay cut then you do that in your own accord.

I donโ€™t care if he stays or goes TBH just as long as we get good compensation.

If he goes Nuclear like Merrett, it damages his brand and we know how important that is to him.

You should be asking why would he want to stay?

The usual negative types seeing what they want to see. Yawn.

Let King have a year to get them back to the best they can be before trading off.

Yeah, yeah! Reassure us again, Ghostwriter. Unlike the wunderkind(er), you have actually spoken to him.
