Moore deserved punishment for the knee BUT they also cleared Hugh Jackson for his knee on Zorko, so they're at least being a little consistent here. Both deserved punishment however.

Absolutely both should have been SUSPENDED

Garry Lyon says Brody Mihocek is "lucky" to cop a fine, rather than a ban.

COLLINGWOOD forward Brody Mihocek has been fined for his dangerous push on Richmond gun Nick Vlastuin on Sunday.

Mihocek gave away a free kick after pushing Vlastuin into two oncoming players during the second quarter of the Magpies' 36-point win at the MCG.

The Match Review Officer charged Mihocek with rough conduct, grading the incident as careless conduct, low impact and body contact.

Mihocek can accept a $1500 fine with an early plea.

Maybe Christian once again threatened to resign - sadly he didn’t.

Surely it is well past time to review the appointment - his bias towards his club is once again bleeding obvious. The AFL would confirm rumours of corruption if he is not replaced.

So these mugs are still fining players who are potentially guilty of an offence that is going to cause the permanent disabling of another player. And it has become the norm.

Only Pies player suspended is Houston. Expect next year his loading from previous Port suspensions will magically disappear.

So what is the actual point of the appeals board?

Seems like a crock of 💩 to me.

I find the fact that held his job literally insane.

Imagine have a disagreement at work about your role, then leaking to the press that you’re going to resign if they overrule you, and being able to keep your job with no ramifications?

It’s unbelievably spineless.

Pearce off, May not off.

Clueless does not begin to describe the current system.

The egg shortage is preventing me from hurling eggs at AFL house.

Actually the MRO is very consistent.

Nothing to see for Cats or Pies players.

Moore

Mihocek

Dangerfield

And … Tom Stewart

Tom Stewart - launched himself. Duty of care? The potential to cause injury doesn't count this week!

Liam Ryan ran at Rivers late, jumped into him and clashed heads. Rivers went off injured and bleeding from a head wound and Ryan not even cited.

After the May decision, how is that even possible?

My wife said to me what did Ryan get for head butting Riv, I said didn’t even get cited..!!

A difficult one and I stand to be corrected, but Archer appeared to get up and walk away after the incident, without showing any immediate concern for the concussed Bulldogs’ player. A North team mate did however.

That is disappointing if correct.

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Jai Newcombe.

Careless

High

Severe

But …

MRO assessment - all fine

Match Review Officer Michael Christian said Newcombe's attempt to tackle Howe was 'not unreasonable in the circumstances' and did not constitute a reportable offence.

What the ? (What The number 19 for the year so far !! )

It’s more like … MRO ASSESSMENT PROCESS … QUESTION 1. what team is the player from ?

Answer. Hawthorn.

MRO : Move on. Nothing to see here.

What the??? Number 20 MRO and AFL biased ridiculous decision

Henry Smith

That’s insane what he did. Sticks his finger and pushes into Blakey rear end. It’s clear! It’s disgusting !! Seen less probing during a colonoscopy!!! There is no legs getting tangled or accident here. It’s base!!

It’s more like … AFL INTEGRITY UNIT PROCESS is QUESTION 1. what team is the player from ?

Answer. Brisbane.

I was half expecting Kossie to be cited from Sunday for attempting to mark and as a result the opposition player fell to the ground.😰 3-4 all the time for a Melbourne player

Agree. Kozzzy goes for a spectacular mark and knees the opposition player, who is slow to get up. I was also thinking they will cite him for “unreasonable conduct” aka the Latin term “****um-AFLisium”.

There are three possible conclusions to be drawn.

1 - Smith is auditioning for a role in the upcoming movie "Crouching Lion, Hidden Finger".

2 - MRO referred it to ARC and their review is complete. It's a behind.

3 - Proof that prostate health checking may be achieved with a Bloods test.

Either way the AFL need to thoroughly probe Smith to get answers.

A line up could be useful too, for Smith to finger the perp

Not required as they already have a digital image of the digital offence.

The crazy thing is, if you run for the ball and glance someone high, you will get 3 weeks.

But if you stick 3 digits up the cloaca of a lizard. It's all ok.

I would of thought that was SA, but what do I know.

Maybe a case for the RSPCA.

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
