Fremantle are that talented I honestly I don't think JVR and Rivers would be in their best 22 by both of their 2025 standards. McVee probably would be in their best 22.

We'd have to trade Clarry and Trac in exchange for a first rounder per player. Say mid first rounder for Trac and very late first rounder for Oliver.

So then you'd have 4 first rounders (2 of them being our 2026 and 2027 first rounders) spread over 3 years plus McVee to even have Freo's attention. Based on last night that's probably not enough.

It would be great to get Jackson back and Id certainly be talking to him and freo re a return. Reminding him particularly of how we listened to him and released him for all the right reasons for him. He seemed to have good relations with players staff and officials at our club .We do not regard him as a retail package as other clubs would do we know him and treat him as a person and would love to have him , his girlfrreind and build a strong new family of teamates.

On that I would be transparent with our players, I dont want to loose any of the list but recognise that some will be leaving, Age ,ability etc. IF anyone wants to go to Perth we would consider their needs as we have with Jesse, JAcko, and Nibbler, but stress that if we get Jacko our list is strenghtehened, our playing style and structures would be changed and our success rate likely to improve, Re open the window.

He’s coming to Melbourne who have promising young talent and some respectable veterans. Carlton have respectable veterans but no promising young talent. They’re on the fast road to irrelevance again and personally I’m loving having you alongside Essendon as long time losers.

There was that report remember..."Jackson will seek trade to Melbourne at end of season" and all that.

If this is indeed what Luke Jackson does, we would at least have a shot...let's hope he tanks for the rest of the season!

They will all laugh but if there was actually wind of him wanting to come back to VIC and I were another VIC club in need of that type I'd be asking the question.

It's essentially a Petracca situation and unless he says he would only leave for Melb then why can't another team with better trade capital enter the frame?

Would make for some great AFL Trade Radio..

All of those named are already in the senior side and several are already among our best performers. Who is on the list who is going to break into our senior side in the next year or two and add something significant that we don't currently have? I don't have great hopes for anyone currently at Casey making the grade.

I don't rate particularly Carlton's young talent either, but they do have Jagga Smith to bring in from round 1 next year.

It's quite well known that the more games you get into youngsters, the more they'll be able to impose themselves on games.

When McVee, Langford, Lindsay start to impact games and stay in contests for longer, run harder, concentrate for longer, as we've seen with Kozzy, they have the potential to change the way we play.

We have been on a list shift since the end of 2023. We're resetting on the run and it's making for some ugly results and a very poor ladder position.

We need some aggressive trading and list management this year (again), and we'll start to see more improvement. But to imply we've got little emerging talent is nonsense.

McVee already impacts games,who else in the Melbourne side can play on the best small forwards,some of them are all Australians and not get blown away

We have picked up a couple of promising midfielders. End of story! After the top 14 we have a lot of players who are not more than vfl standard. Add in some veterans who are poor even at Casey.

A very good question joeboy. The answer is as you allude to! The majority are average at best. Average players don't win games. Good and very good players win games, finals and flags.

Because our senior players can’t kick the ball 20m to a target, behave like Prima Donna’s and oversized 4 year olds. Past Gawn the leadership vacuum would suck the smell out of a dog blanket.

Roost it you need to change glasses they current pink lens are doing you no good. A couple of that list will be very good, a couple good but sadly none will be Excellent. The best of them at present is Picket with his new contract playing good games every other week is over. The size of the new contract means you have to be “good “ 90% of games and very good the majority of those “good” games. I am yet to be convinced he is as consistent as that salary demands.
