If anyone needs help with tickets and would like MCC visitor tickets or AFL guest passes (would highly recommend you dont go in the AFL for this game) DM me and I'd be happy to help out.

After 25 years of having to sit with the ferals in the AFL members for this game I decided to purchase seats in MFC members allocation this year. Got seats in M53 (hoping they don't let any Collingwood supporters in there!) in the club on sale this morning, was $55 a head but worth it to avoid the lunatics in the AFL members asylum.

It's the only game I specifically don't want to sit in the AFL members for, Carlton, Essendon etc suck as well but not to the same extent as Collingwood, those freaks are on another level.

I've stopped going to the away games against them as they're unbearable pond scum. Don't count on them not getting into our own members areas though. There are plenty of them that go to club functions or have access to sponsored boxes that end up taking empty seats in our areas. MCG staff that are there to police this do nothing and our own supporters are generally too polite to say or do anything. Could you imagine an oppo supporter trying to sit in the Sherrin Stand at Victoria Park back in the day? They'd be lynched.

After a few misses with the Ticketek website, got a ticket in the noosebleed section for KB. Last time I went to this fixture live, the Dees won ... its an omen! 😁

I hate to say it but we sat there for our mfc reserved seats for the past 3 years and there’s general public reserved for the first 15 rows if you are on the bottom level. Lots of feral aupporters roll in at half time and take the reserved seats that the dees members aren’t using as well. It’s the reason we moved to m52

M52 wasn't available, only M53.

Tbh I don't mind if there's some of them, just don't want to be outnumbered 1000-1 like in the AFL members

Yep I agree, its the only game I will consider using my Redlegs seats (I give them away every week so they are used) or MCC rather than sit in the AFL members where we are every other week.

They still manage to infiltrate the Redlegs and Trident areas, problem is we lose these games and they get lippy. Need to win and then we can send them packing.

The problem is Melbourne members giving their reserved seats to their Collingwood mates. Should lose their memberships for that imo.

You should lose your membership for simply having Collingwood supporters you call mates.

The MCG attitude to policing seats is completely hopeless - disgraceful, actually. There were periods last year where there was no checking at all in respect of Trident reserved seating. Let's hope this year the MCG lifts its game!

Shouldn't be on the MCG to police this. The clubs should be enforcing this, its not only a Melbourne issue.

It's been a problem for as long as I have been a premium member, I admit I sometimes pass on a spare ticket for oppo supporters to sit with me for the game, but I stress they need to dress in neutral clothes and respect where they are, and my friends always comply. And the people around me know their allegence but are very accepting because my friends behave themselves.

Sucks that we have to play these mongrels twice again.

It's the only time I don't enjoy going to the footy and something disastrous on-field always happens when we play them.

Cheersquad in A17. I've just bought in A18 - thank god we aren't where the cheer squad was the last few years now with the new stand being open.

Sorry mate, you'll have to remove your old man from your life. Only reasonable outcome.

This is one topic that absolutely should be raised at an AGM. It sounds like we’re all royally f’d off with the great unwashed infiltrating our members areas.

Not just unbearable, there's just aura of toxicity/tension at any Collingwood game. Whenever we play them i don't wear any Dees gear.

How sad is that. We cant support our team because of the fear of being set on. Ask Nathan Jones Dad how that feels. Ask the young family that sat behind me last year who were taunted the whole game with the police playing lip service only. I speak to many MFC members who have said that they will not go to Collingwood games now because of the abhorrent behaviour of Collingwood supporters. As an MCC member I try and sit in the no alcohol section which weeds a lot them out.

At an away QB game we got seats up in the nosebleeds near Daisy Pearce, her husband and twins and they left at half time because of the abuse. They are the scum de la scum of the AFL.

The Demon stalwart surpassed the number of his father's appearances for the club towards the end of the season. As he approaches his thirties, his pace is inevitably slowing, and he is likely to explore alternative opportunities beyond the team's midfield.

“Disco” took his time (four seasons) but the mid-season draftee has been a shining light of Melbourne's campaign, improving to become a versatile option at either end of the ground. He has great marking skills which allows him to play as a marking target up forward or an intercepting defender down back.

The skipper delivered another outstanding season, leading the team from the front, participating in every game, and earning club champion honours, while also securing an equal record eighth All-Australian blazer as a ruckman.  Max Gawn is arguably the greatest exponent of ruck skills in the history of the game; an exceptional leader who has guided the club to a premiership, through the challenging times that followed, and now into the next phase of its storied history.

It was a frustrating season for the former number 13 draft selection, who failed to build momentum in his second campaign; Tholstrup played only nine games, having been omitted twice and substituted out three times. However, he demonstrated promising signs in the midfield at Casey towards the end of the season, and big things are anticipated from him in the coming years.

He is presently contracted to the club for an additional five years, with a substantial annual salary of approximately $1.7 million in the final seasons of his agreement. All at Melbourne are eagerly anticipating his resurgence to his previous peak performance levels.
