Not gonna repeat this again. Three times is two times too many. In fact not gonna post for a while. [censored] if I’m gonna let anyone insult me when I’m trying my best to relay things as they’re happening while there’s so much else going on. So go ahead and doubt anything or even everything I say.

GW out.

What on earth?! Nobody has insulted you! I said earlier your training reports are really appreciated.

But you railed against misinformation from reporters and were then proven to have been guilty of the exact same thing yourself. I’d have pointed this out to any poster that had done the same thing, nobody is out to get you @Ghostwriter!

Clearly some details are being left out/mistaken in reports. I encourage all track watchers to use their words carefully. We’re all on edge, injuries are occurring/could occur/may occur/are likely to occur/are occurring in my dreams….I think you get the picture. I’ll be down on the track in the next few weeks. You’ll then have a template for all future reports. It’ll be expected that all track watchers use the new template.  😂

You think he was faking it? I heard Jacob our Doc asking him a bunch of questions, I heard Shane insist he was fine to go back out, I heard Jacob decide otherwise. I saw Jacob walk him back to the rooms. As he passed by he said, “It’s okay, it’s not an injury, I’m just a bit crook” and he patted his stomach. Maybe the poor bugger reads DL and knows I’ll be on here defending him to the likes of you, PF.

Thought I might join the chat. McAdam is highly skilled, with evasive tricks and a good footy IQ. Marks as if he were taller, like Fritta. He's done the work and I look forward to his first game, where he kicks 3 and dishes off a couple.

Have prescribed vitamins to avoid further injury / illness and a small dose off apotropaic magic to ward of negative DL comments. He'll be fine.

Could have been carrying him onto the field to commence training weekend at Bernie’s style?

Really? REALLY?!!! God I hope you’re joking but even if you are joking, it’s not funny. I said he was helped off the field… HELPED not CARRIED. The pics you went to the trouble of posting show exactly that… he was HELPED not CARRIED. Moreover, within a few minutes of these pics being taken he was walking unaided and clearly not in as much pain.

So I’m either “blind” or have chosen to “share misinformation,” yeah? Wow. Would expect it from certain others, so disappointed to hear it from you.

Right now I’m asking myself why I even bother to post on here.

I love your reports but sometimes wonder why you bother ..there’s always some posters who seem to hate your insights (maybe plain jealousy) and nit pick but the majority are like me …we appreciate all training reports and insights ..so thank you

Yeah that's a hammy by the look of it. Like a gunshot to the back of the leg.

How bad it is remains to be seen but I feel for the man.

What are you talking about? Nobody hates insights, nobody has said they don’t appreciate the insights. Nobody has insulted anybody else!

People are just a bit thrown when those “insights” provided are proven to be patently false, that’s all 🤷‍♂️

Once he got to the sidelines he was slowly able to put some wait through the leg, and the pain seemed to ease slowly.

We’ll just have to weight and see. Fingers crossed.

Might have been a mistake?

That hamstring looks nasty..

Hope it hasn't ripped off the bone.

Unfortunately some post what they hope is true, rather than what is true....makes it tough to take much out of the track reports 😪

Some don't even have the balls to nit pick, they just sit back and wait for one of the other goon squad to do it, then throw in their little passive aggressive reactions to the post.

It's always the same people and it's always being done to the same person and frankly it is becoming tiresome.

I wouldn't bother if I was WCW/GW either. I've been around this place for years and have seen many good posters being driven out (in some cases by the same people) for much less.

'They' 100% do not appreciate the insights. Don't kid yourself.

There is an established pattern here and it has been going on for ages.  It might seem innocuous on this occasion, but it's definitely there and this is just another instance. Go back and have another read from the perspective of someone who is constantly scrutinised and who has a group of knuckle draggers following them around waiting to jump on any opportunity to undermine or discredit them.

[censored] you guys. You know who you are.

You're a valuable poster. I hope your hiatus is short.

Seriously I just want to discuss and get info about a team that we all love. There's enough social media where things get too personal. Is it really that hard to be civil? Surely nobody came to this place  to upset others.

Unfortunately this forum is a microcosm of the broader community, albeit skewed male in terms of demographics.

What we see out there, we see in here- positive and negative.

And the sad reality is there are plenty of people who enjoy upsetting and winding up other people.

  • CASEY: Sydney

The Casey Demons were always expected to emerge victorious in their matchup against the lowly-ranked Sydney Swans at picturesque Tramway Oval, situated in the shadows of the SCG in Moore Park. They dominated the proceedings in the opening two and a half quarters of the game but had little to show for it. This was primarily due to their own sloppy errors in a low-standard game that produced a number of crowded mauls reminiscent of the rugby game popular in old Sydney Town. However, when the Swans tired, as teams often do when they turn games into ugly defensive contests, Casey lifted the standard of its own play and … it was off to the races. Not to nearby Randwick but to a different race with an objective of piling on goal after goal on the way to a mammoth victory. At the 25-minute mark of the third quarter, the Demons held a slender 14-point lead over the Swans, who are ahead on the ladder of only the previous week's opposition, the ailing Bullants. Forty minutes later, they had more than fully compensated for the sloppiness of their earlier play with a decisive 94-point victory, that culminated in a rousing finish which yielded thirteen unanswered goals. Kicks hit their targets, the ball found itself going through the middle and every player made a contribution.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

Hands up if you thought, like me, at half-time in yesterday’s game at TIO Traeger Park, Alice Springs that Melbourne’s disposal around the ground and, in particular, its kicking inaccuracy in front of the goals couldn’t get any worse. Well, it did. And what’s even more damning for the Melbourne Football Club is that the game against St Kilda and its resurgence from the bottomless pit of its miserable start to the season wasn’t just lost through poor conversion for goal but rather in the 15 minutes when the entire team went into a slumber and was mugged by the out-of-form Saints. Their six goals two behinds (one goal less than the Demons managed for the whole game) weaved a path of destruction from which they were unable to recover. Ross Lyon’s astute use of pressure to contain the situation once they had asserted their grip on the game, and Melbourne’s self-destructive wastefulness, assured that outcome. The old adage about the insanity of repeatedly doing something and expecting a different result, was out there. Two years ago, the score line in Melbourne’s loss to the Giants at this same ground was 5 goals 15 behinds - a ratio of one goal per four scoring shots - was perfectly replicated with yesterday’s 7 goals 21 behinds.
This has been going on for a while and opens up a number of questions. I’ll put forward a few that come to mind from this performance. The obvious first question is whether the club can find a suitable coach to instruct players on proper kicking techniques or is this a skill that can no longer be developed at this stage of the development of our playing group? Another concern is the team's ability to counter an opponent's dominance during a run on as exemplified by the Saints in the first quarter. Did the Demons underestimate their opponents, considering St Kilda's goals during this period were scored by relatively unknown forwards? Furthermore, given the modest attendance of 6,721 at TIO Traeger Park and the team's poor past performances at this venue, is it prudent to prioritize financial gain over potentially sacrificing valuable premiership points by relinquishing home ground advantage, notwithstanding the cultural significance of the team's connection to the Red Centre?
