A few weeks after his injury Tracc was on Fox Footy in tears recounting how shook up he and his closest loved ones were. After that there was silence bar journos such as Tom Morris desperately trying to create drama. There was probably some truth among the BS. Maybe Tracc should at some stage made a public statement to straighten things out. Maybe like so many being accused of something that could ruin their reputation (or more) he was advised to say nothing. For whatever reason he said Nada. Right now I forgive. There's nothing gained from any Melbourne person making him play worse this year.

Hope you kept the Duffel Coat. You will need it next year.

Sadly no.
I had an evil step mother who seemed to take joy in throwing my stuff out without telling me.

Also lost 3 full sets of Stanlans footy cards from the late 70's early 80's.
A scrap book and autograph book from the same era.
Full sets of both Star Wars and KISS cards too.
Highly annoying woman to this very day.

Re-read what Dazzle wrote. He didn’t say if we kept Farmer we would’ve won the 2016 flag. He said that if we kept Farmer, we would have “Western Bulldogs’d” a flag in the mid-2000’s. Suggest a little less time mashing the keyboard and being so quick to pot posters, and spending a little more time reading posts.

I always felt Troy Broadbridge was the missing piece in Danihers premiership puzzle.
Spent years looking for a good CHB and when he found him we lost him.

No appropriate emoji for this. I totally agree with you.

The missing piece was a good run with injuries, same as when Balme coached us

Fair call.
All those big money guns we got salary capped for hardly got on the ground.

Maybe you are just a random supporter and don’t have the relationships with the players that GW & Katrina does. I love the  hiatus period where most supporters are looking forward to the season & excited to read anything about the team but the closer we get to the season ..threads start to take on the snide derisive comments which reminds me that my time of enjoying DL is rapidly coming to a close & then it’s never reading before a game ..or during the game & then maybe after a win. My main thing then is I  always listen to the DLand podcast.

Deestar l feel like your using my pretty innocent post to grandstand about the behaviour of this forum more boardly. lts not my go l dont play the man or woman for kicks like some do. My point is that players rarely complain to supporters, a view that was confirmed by GW herself. We all know however many do have issues with the club at any point in time, this is at all clubs local or otherwise. The post wasn't meant to reflect on GW, Katrina or others simply my view that players are cagey about their issue. Tracc hasnt done a media interview this season that l can recall which is curious at best. We all know he would be asked about his commitment to mfc now and into the future. Whether he stays or goes l am confident he is committed while here. There is a heap of value in the training reports.we get and l don't need to over state the obvious

Will be interesting to see if he's back in full contact training today...

I think the club has been just playing it ultra cautious the last few weeks. If it was in season there is no doubt he would've already been playing, potentially even the week after it happened going by reports it was on the minor end.

He said similar when l asked him, that he would be playing if there was 4 points on the line

Mid 2000’s 2015/6 ET in case it has been altered. In  2018 if we had The Wiz still then that was our chance but not the two years ‘15/16 he has quoted.

So your defending  DD makes you look equally as off the mark.

DD made some comments about not understanding some of my comments which after this one is a bit rich.

My comments on the Duke for the centre position have been constant clear of purpose and all pre season if DD can’t understand them he is showing his lack of footy knowledge.

There is a feeling in D/L that some posters are above being challenged well I don’t differentiate and GW and DD deserve challenging when they need to be outed. So do I on occasions need to be outed but get it right.

not just blindly attack with incorrect information.

Apologies ET mid 2000’s is 2005/6 I have made the error and own up.  Has some merit as Wiz was a special player.
Sorry DD perhaps I typed before thinking it through.

Maybe keep that in mind when you next get your dander up about anything you reply to.

I distinctly remember the AFLPA calling for a reinvestigation late last year. Has it really taken this long to start that up?

Is it just me or is this clip not doing the rounds on Demonland already?

Thanks for sharing that might make a few people rethink exactly what was going on behind all the noise

Fluff or not, I didn’t realise how much I needed to hear this. Instant pick me up heading into the season.

And a shout out to the dedicated boots on the ground supporters who help keep the club chugging along for the rest of us. You are appreciated 👍

Great to see him on the happy side again.

He does have a solid golf swing. Better than Stephen May's that's for sure.

Steven May plays off 3! I’d kill to have a swing that terrible!

The Dogs reigned supreme in 2018 with an inaugural AFLW premiership cup and the Demons matched this feat by winning the cup as the Season 7 2022 champions.Meggs wasn’t born when the Doggies won their first VFL premiership cup against the Demons in 1954. Covid prevented many Demons fans from legally witnessing the victorious 2021 AFL Grand Final cup performance between the Demons and the Bulldogs, but we all grin when remembering those magnificent seven third quarter goals.

  • PREVIEW: Hawthorn

Hawthorn and Melbourne. Two teams with impressive form from last week but with seasons that are travelling on different trajectories meet in Saturday’s twilight game for what could well be the most intriguing contest of the AFL’s penultimate round. Sadly, the game has been relegated to that unappealing time slot in the weekend when Melburnians are typically preoccupied with activities other than football. It falls between the morning's shopping, afternoon sport and recreation, and Saturday night fever. A time usually reserved for relatively insignificant events but this one is not a nothingburger for either of the clubs or their fans.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
