Or Sunday 23rd? Do we know what time the match sim vs norf is on?

North head over to WA to play West Coast on Saturday 1 March.

Therefore Iโ€™m inferring that we play North on the Saturday 22 Feb so North avoid a 6 day trip the following week.

Plus Fox Sports suggested itโ€™s 11am on Saturday 22 Feb, but nothings confirmed. Iโ€™m assuming both clubs donโ€™t want a heck of a lot of fans in attendance hence the lack of notice.

Apparently 11 am on Saturday 23rd - four quarters, but nothing officially yet from the Club....

Jed Adamโ€™s was a long way off the pace last year and I havenโ€™t heard too many people attending training suggest he is knocking the door down to get an AFL debut anytime soon

If he was owning Jeffo then what does this suggest about Jeffo and how he is progressing - if heโ€™s being easily beaten by Adamโ€™s I have doubts that he can compete at AFL levelย

Hopefully they are both looking much betterย

In my view Adams looks better this year - hard to judge by how much until we hit the serious stuff.....

The intensity is the one for me, Schache had skills but lack of intensity at the ball and pack but the track watchers have seen more than I have.

This mystery F/S or academy player has me intrigued.

First thought was perhaps Kynans younger brother Ryder might be getting a tour. Wouldn't have thought there would be need for secrecy though.

I thought it was Ryder Brown too. Had myself convinced he had a similar gait to Pup and the same body-type: long body, short legs, low centre of gravity. So I asked around and it seemed no one was sure who he was. Then Richo told a couple of us he was a f/s and told us his name. After training I was introduced to him as a different first name but another Demonlander has worked out he is the f/s about whom Richo told us only Richo got his first name wrong. So yeah, heโ€™s the son of a former player but for some reason Richo stressed we canโ€™t post it anywhere.ย

Did he look a likely future star?

Shane-o has a very slight hammy niggle. Nothing to worry about. He acknowledged heโ€™s greatly improved fitness-wise and is very happy with where heโ€™s at both physically and mentally. He admitted he wasnโ€™t in a good place when he first came to us and said this was largely due to adapting to living in Melb taking a lot longer than expected, and being injured.

I reckon the clubโ€™s patience will pay off, and will do so sooner rather than later ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿผโค๏ธ๐Ÿ’™

Too late.ย  The information has leaked that it was in fact George Gawn.

He looks older than his tender years due to his inherited extraordinary height.

The poor bugger was a deer in the headlights when the ball came near him. Heโ€™d only just met everyone at the beginning of the session, players and training staff alike. For the first 15 minutes or so he was kicking and handballing with Noah, just the two of them. Nek minnit heโ€™s out there playing with the big boys and at times he seemed overwhelmed. Heโ€™s not tall and heโ€™s of slight build. Goody said theyโ€™re just โ€œseeing how he goes.โ€

It may well be some sort of training award except it was at the beginning of the session, not the end.

I was huge fan of this recruitment and really thought he'd bring some bite and edge to our forward line. His glimpses at Adelaide were impressive.ย

Unfortunately when you're on the closer side of 30 years of age and have been dealing with soft tissue injuries at the back end of your career, history will suggest that it's going to be hard staying injury free.

5 years in the system and hasn't played a full season at AFL level so maybe just one of those cases where the body tends to struggle with the rigours of AFL footy. Hundreds of footballers go through this unfortunately.ย

I still have faith he can have an impact some stage this year.

Not so much ball in hand stuff - he can definitely finish. More the body on body stuff that is so vital to becoming a good key forward at senior level. He gets outmarked, outbodied and out-thought far too often in contests and isnโ€™t explosive enough to cause separation when leading at the footy. Dearly hoping to be proved wrong!

2nd year on the list, a pretty straighforward surname & you still can't get it right.

How often do you get down to training? Is this observations based off one session or a few that you have attended.

For me, he has to learn to jump.
Havenโ€™t seen it last season, and still no evidence of it so far at training this year.ย

Weid had the same problem. These days as a forward you donโ€™t get the ball straight to your chest too often. So you need to be able to compete aerially, not with the feet on the ground. JVR is the gold standard.

He has proven to be up to AFL level at times albeit injuries have significantly reduced his games played - bad luck or vulnerable body who knowsย

Its quite bizarre that you sing the praises of a player that hasnโ€™t played a single game and still doesnโ€™t really look like they will fire a shot anytime soon, if at all, but openly criticise someone that has some runs on the boardย

I hope they can both make it but if I was betting Iโ€™d put my money on McAdam to make a bigger contribution to the senior team than Jeffo in 2025ย

Dazzย  speaking about Mc Adam..his magic moments are SILK.. BUT too few and far between, and given his um seemingly perrenial injury moments tend to push the ledger to the negative!

Try to get down most Wednesdays when theyโ€™re at Goschโ€™s mate but as I said Iโ€™ve generally got one eye on my little mate so Iโ€™m definitely not watching every single little detail forensically.

Jeffo is a big concern for me imo.

To hear that he still lacks the required intensity even at training is half the reason why I was never a fan of this pick from the very start. Jason Taylor and Goodwins number one characteristic when targeting a young player through the draft is competitiveness and drive to succeed.

As much as I've actually been a staunch supporter of Jefferson at VFL level, I'm just not sure whether it'll stand up much at the elite level.

I'm certainly in the belief that young players do take time, but if they haven't got the intensity for AFL level then you're simply not going to make a successful career out at AFL level.

Footy is a very brutal and ruthless game.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecastโ€”20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze โ€” expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isnโ€™t a standard conceptโ€”itโ€™s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasnโ€™t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's ย six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his teamโ€™s unfulfilled potential rang true โ€ฆ well, almost.ย
