Freo have picks 11, 29, 38, 47 and 65.

Would a straight swap for 29 get it done?

I wonder if we can push for pick 11 by sending over an extra pick or two?

Agree. I’m filthy.

We gave him his chance. If he wants midfield time, he won’t get it at Fremantle.

We can’t afford to lose talent right now, not in his age bracket and with his ceiling.

And he’s clearly done @Ghostwriter an absolute dirty.

If anyone deserves our boos next year

ignoring the fact he twice committed to us this year and then seeks a trade

gave him his shot after the WA clubs ignored him

Good riddance yuck

No way, Fremantle have academy picks and need points. We should hold out for 1st rounder.

I’m not taking anything other then that pick 11, pick 29 is under for Mcvee considering how young he still is

Their Pick 29 will be mid in the 40s after academy players and free agency compo .in a week draft feel light on even with him being uncontracted. Would love to get pick 11 which will be more like 20 anyway

otherwise Cooper Simpson who trained with the Dees a few years back might be worth asking for ?

Didnt leave for midfield time

Tell his manager that if he wants to go home we’re only dealing with West Coast

If it’s about returning to WA he shouldn’t mind which team he’s playing for right? 🙄

Honestly pretty annoyed that we plucked him out of obscurity as a late rookie pick, developed him into a solid half back and from reports gave him a positive indication of his future playing position, and he still leaves?

See ya Judd - hope you’re prepared to play WAFL next year if you dish up your 2025 form

29’s a terrible outcome for us.

He’s deserting us. He can get Freo to work out how to send us 11.

He is not playing midfield for Freo.

Might not even be in the best 23 at Freo, was bog ordinary this year anyway

We Demonlanders know how to over estimate our players

haha we are not getting 11 for McVee.

Lets hope WC come hard for him now he wants back to WA and start a bit of a bidding war.

Melbourne: feeder club.

Yep. I'll say the quiet part out loud - STOP RECRUITING FROM WA, IF THEY'RE ANY GOOD FREO POACH THEM.

I think this annoys me even more than his going...

Clearly not a team player anyway if you're gonna leave because you don't get the position you want. F him, see ya later

  • AFLW REPORT: Gold Coast

The forecast said wind. The ladder said mismatch. The scoreboard said obliteration. Melbourne didn’t just beat Gold Coast — they dismantled them: 13.15 (93) to 0.6 (6). An 87-point obliteration, the Suns held goalless, and the Demons delivering their second-highest winning margin and third-highest score in AFLW history.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #28 Will Verrall

It was a tough ask for him to break through as a 199cm ruckman in the shadow of an all-time great in that position who is also the club captain. He had some good days at Casey but was unable to progress and was delisted at the end of the season.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #29 Tom Campbell

The 33-year-old Campbell has yet to play AFL football for Melbourne, but his Casey form has been strong and he has been retained as a ready-made ruck depth option who is widely regarded as someone who is excellent for the culture of the club.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #30 Harry Sharp

The Demons acquired an interesting player in Sharp, who narrowly missed securing a spot in the Lions’ premiership team last year. The 22-year-old medium forward played in the opening round this season and ended up with 18 senior games, although he was substituted in or out in for ten of those matches. He demonstrated glimpses of form, but ultimately ended the year on the margins of the team.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #31 Bayley Fritsch

Worked his way back after a slow start and a further slump in form going into the midseason but became a solid contributor for the club in the latter half of 2025. Closing in on 300 goals for the club.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Gold Coast

On Friday, the Demons return to our Casey Fields fortress where they have a 77% win rate. The scent of September is in the air and the struggling Suns are on the horizon. The Cranbourne weather forecast? Ominous, like the match itself: a strong chance of carnage. Let’s be honest, last week’s first half against the West Coast was a training drill but we dropped our guard in the final quarter. While this match is a mismatch on paper — second versus seventeenth — football is won in the wind, the contests, and the moments.
