I may be wrong Daz, but despite whether McVee has signed or is about to, I thought the famous wager between picket and GW was whether or not McVee was staying or going. If so, it sounds like picket needs to do some shopping tomorrow.

thank god this long running saga is now over.

Judd has re-signed, no eggs will be wasted and all poster reputations are intact

Wow, 53 pages and not done yet, on whether a player, not a star, signs a new contract with us.

And a boring thread at that, largely a couple of posters arguing amongst themselves.

He hasn't signed yet. We are still in rumour mode. The thread continues.

They're going to roll him out at half time of the grandfinal and get him to sign the contract in the middle of the half time show

It's par for the course on Demonland to venerate Spargo, a plodder who has left the club, and stick the boots into Judd, a talented player who is still on our list.

It's amazing that since the season ended, Judd has gone from being an important member of our team, to a plodder who is expendable.

And I don't believe for one minute that he is contemplating leaving based on being guaranteed a positional change at another club.

so sign the bloody contract!!!!

You know what Soops… I don’t want Fence to make good the promise. Reason being, the scent of Calvin Klein Euphoria would forever be tainted by the memories of this thread. Besides, I already smell great, well according to at least four of our players anyways. Who needs CK Euphoria when there’s a $20* body & hair mist at Woolies that smells just as good 😊

*Currently reduced to $15 coz not exactly flying off the shelves. I’m probs the only one buying it 😁

I have nothing more to say, but plenty more to add to this statement from Ghosty. The first sentence though says it all! Stand by for a groundbreaking statement.. To be continued!

Timing is everything here. McVee saying he’s staying the day of or day later that we reveal that we have asked May to move on…. Coincidental?

Careful now, Adonski. You may well end up with egg on your face. And not just egg… but MASSIVE egg. Or maybe that just applies to me 🤔

  • AFLW PREVIEW: West Coast

Epic battle alert.  This Sunday, Casey Fields hosts a coach’s showdown pitting the wits of the master Mick Stinear (92 games, 71.7% win rate) against his protégé Daisy Pearce (16 games, 43.8%). Still early in her coaching journey, Daisy’s record doesn’t yet reflect her impact — but she’s already the best-performed coach at West Coast.Dais’ is mythic.  Like Katniss Everdeen, everyone either wants to kiss her, kill her (sporting metaphor) or be her.  Toothers Daisy Pearce is a role model, someone admired for their heart, humility and humour.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.
