He’d wanna know why ‘Dirk’ and I don’t know the answer to that. Enlighten me, Layz.

I think you're making a completely different interpretation of what's happening here.  You claim he was "happy to be proven wrong", no such occurance is evident.  What is evident, though, is not only him doubling down, but then chucking a pity party for himself.

Well I can only comment on the original interpretation that I meant.

Come on Roy! I can usually count on your support! 🙂

This is his first comment after he was called out:

"Mate, just think about it. Why on earth would Kolt say that to a supporter about another player, in the same week his contract is spoken about on the forum. And if Kolt, as a 1st 12 mth player, is actually saying that about other players and their relationships to supporters at a training da  he needs to pull his head in. Play it through in your head.

Seems like a fanciful fairytale to me. I might well be wrong but I bet even you doubt I am."

Yeah, I'm struggling how you can interprete this the way you're claiming.....

I wish I could provide a good answer but sometimes things just come up in my mind and they just fit.

On reflection of how the aspects of this random brainwave came about I can only think of two possibilities:

- Dirk Diggler

- Dutch swimming teacher I had as a kid named Dirk, with a similar curl in the hair.

Hope Judd does stay. Probably our best user of the footy. Doesn’t get the credit he deserves outside of our club which means I think we would get unders for him.
I’m not as across players wages but given he was on the rookie list I’m assuming he wasn’t in massive coin. It’s time for his agent to earn his coin and get Judd a good deal- if he gets offers on the table from the WA clubs it pushing up what we will have to pay to keep him.

Definitely our best small defender. I have hopes that AMW may get there too.

Maybe they thought it could be detrimental to the negotiation process? I don't know, still no reason to attack. That goes for both sides.

If you doubt what any player might have said,  why not go to a training session yourself and prove the point,

Then you might have a basis for any comments,  otherwise you should take them on face value.  Same as everyone else has to do,

because I have a job and dont receive welfare benefits allowing me the time to attend training to ask a 19 year old if a 20 year old is happy with his missus.

I have two jobs SL, but I’m lucky in that I can mostly choose my own hours and that means I can get to training on a regular basis. I work around Demon Army stuff, matches and training coz I want to and coz I can.

Also lucky their boss doesn't mind them posting on Demonland in work hours.

Dude please don’t make personal attacks like this or you won’t ever be allowed to post here again. That goes for everyone.

Do not personally attack posters on here. Play the ball not the man.

I come to this thread to read about my favourite player only to find half of it is bickering.

Folks, please take the bickering somewhere else.

Why especially Tassie?

Lily is from Tasmania.

I actually told Judd this was brought up in a fan forum (the suggestion Tassie might come a-hunting for both Lily and him). He laughed and said he’d wanna go to Tasmania as much as Lily would wanna go to WA. 😂

I still maintain the same view/concern about this - the mail I got is still what I've been told.

This injury doesn't help :( here's hoping he can be supported and want to stay in Melbourne

Don’t think a hamstring injury will make a difference to his decision.

He may well seek a trade, but hopefully he decides to stay for at least a couple more years.

Was just reading an article (published pre McVee injury) from the Zero Hangar about the projected best 25 small-medium defenders for 2025 and McVee wasn't mentioned.

I'd suggest that confirms without any doubt that Zero Hangar has Zero Credibility

Covid prevented many Demons fans from legally witnessing the victorious 2021 AFL Grand Final cup performance between the Demons and the Bulldogs, but we all grin when remembering those magnificent seven third quarter goals.

  • PREVIEW: Hawthorn

Hawthorn and Melbourne. Two teams with impressive form from last week but with seasons that are travelling on different trajectories meet in Saturday’s twilight game for what could well be the most intriguing contest of the AFL’s penultimate round. Sadly, the game has been relegated to that unappealing time slot in the weekend when Melburnians are typically preoccupied with activities other than football. It falls between the morning's shopping, afternoon sport and recreation, and Saturday night fever. A time usually reserved for relatively insignificant events but this one is not a nothingburger for either of the clubs or their fans.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
