But there is a lesson to be learnt here and thats never take player on face value from a general supporter perspective.

All along we were told he that he was going to sign and all the journo's like Tom Morris were wrong yada yada..

Behind the scenes is a completely different story. We have now learnt that mid year Judd had pretty much made up his mind on leving to WA exactly the same time we were told he was staying.

I know players from opposition clubs on a personal level that i bump into from time to time mostly in the off season when they're back home that share some great insight into life as an AFL footballer.

One of the bigger resourced training that the AFL have exhausted into the past couple of yearsis extensive media training for players. They're constantly educated on what to say in the general public and in front of camera as well as social media aspect.

Judd has been trained well in this area and he pulled it off well.

In saying that I hope he his career turns to [censored] at Freo.

Makes sense. Some of his efforts this year were really poor. Looked like a player that didn't want to be there but hey we had a few of them didn't we.

Some gratitude to the club would not have gone astray but I don't want one single player on our list that is not invested. My only concern is that SMay doesn't stink it up if he ends up playing at Casey but he seems to have taken the feedback well.

The freshness of the club is a relief, happy to see the back of Judd type players who aren't on the bus.

This is exactly right. Apart from 3 or 4 games he was pretty poor this year, hesitant & often beaten.

Should have been dropped but the selectors probably thought it a good investment to give him games he didn't deserve.

On this year's form he wouldn't be in Freos team.

That may well be true GW, but you have to admit it's not a good look from the MFC supporters' perspective. But, because of what he said, it probably endears him to the dockers supporters - which I'm sure was his intent. He is no longer a Dee, so I am not really concerned about his comments to be truthful.

I really admire your unwavering luv for all things Melbourne - especially players, whether present or past. It certainly goes a long way to balancing out some of the negativity on here - so keep it up.

I agree, it’s a terrible look from our perspective. Also, you’re right: Judd is definitely saying what Freo fans wanna hear, which strengthens my point it isn’t exactly how he felt mid-season.

PS: Truth be known, I don’t love all players and coaches, I just choose not to mention the ones I’m not hugely fond of. They number few but they exist 😁

I’m just so over having to repeat myself. Judd volunteered his reassurance… I never asked him. On a regular basis he would tell me (unprompted) he’s not going anywhere. I’ve posted this so many times.

No, I’m not reading too much in to it. And I don’t expect anyone to remember everything I’ve said. I wasn’t referring at anyone other than Tremblay who knows exactly what he’s doing and this is one example which shows it…
