Always good content. Not quite as riveting as the 2019 one but getting JT's detailed analysis of why these two guys will be guns is music to the ears.

It would be interesting to know where we rated Langford overall. The video is edited a bit. JT mentions Langford being "the next preferred midfielder" so I'm guessing he's referring to Ashcroft or maybe we had Jagga Smith or FOS ahead of him.

Anyone else distracted by Goody's fried rice? Like FFS mate just eat it after the cameraman has gone. LOL

JT: “HL will be our next preferred”

Not that it means anything now & I’m absolutely wrapped with Harvey, but I wonder who our “preferred” 1st option was?

I think they had Jagga higher

Yeah. One of those rare moments where you win with either or. Both will be jets, no doubts.

Thanks for posting that Dazzle. Love this up close and personal stuff, JT had everyone’s attention, I have been hanging out for Langford for the last three months.😁😁

Good content?

There wasn't one single new or interesting thing in there.

I know many of us are draft nerds and there might still be some appeal to the more casual dees fan but a few comments from JT on each of the draft picks and that's it? Then the footage we've already seen from draft night?

Would it kill them to provide just even a little morsel of something interesting?

Funny enough when I was reading the Carlton bigfooty forum, majority of their supporters wanted Langford over Jagga.

Good content… on the MFC socials?

What is happening 😱

Exactly!

This is the type of content we wanna see!

Well done Demons social media people! 😀👍🏻

Got excited at this, the excitement JT had was palpable about Langford and Goody looked like he was the owner of Black Caviar when he saw the young men for the 1st time after the pick.

Sad?

Tragically, Black Caviar died a couple of months ago

But in any case im hoping Langford and XL are champion colts rather than champion mares and throw hundreds of father son/daughter winners after their career finishes.

Already sending them off for stud?

Their footy career might go 12 years if they are lucky.

If they are even luckier, their post playing stud career might go 50 years.

We might have langfords and Lindsay's running around in red and blue for the next 100 years!

I want to see the behind the scenes documentary about how they managed to have jumpers ready with their pick number/name on the back!

Did they have a a whole bunch of variations of name and pick number ready to go?

Did they just wing it and prepare one jumper for each and hope for the best?

Did they iron the numbers and name on the spot and if so who brought the iron?!

David Copperfield areas.

Could well have been referencing Levi. We did select him before Langford, after all.

No one other then Brisbane was ever getting him. The fact that it took for us at pick 5 to bid on him is a disgrace to the system in itself.

JT would still include him in his rankings.

Keeping the comment “our next preferred” in the edit for a pick 6 draftee was a bit odd… so my assumption is it was a direct reference to the publically known fact we selected Ashcroft before him.

Well, they wouldn't want to have rely on the Demon shop. They'd have to find it for starters.

Despite a spirited third quarter surge, the Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, remaining winless and second last on the ladder after a 39-point defeat to Essendon at Adelaide Oval in Gather Round.

It’s Game Day, and the Demons are staring down the barrel of an 0-5 start for the first time since 2012 as they take on Essendon at Adelaide Oval for Gather Round. In that forgettable season, Melbourne finally broke their drought by toppling the Bombers. Can lightning strike twice? Will the Dees turn their nightmare start around and breathe life back into 2025?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

As the focus of the AFL moves exclusively to South Australia for Gather Round, the question is raised as to what are we going to get from the  Melbourne Football Club this weekend? Will it be a repeat of the slop fest of the last three weeks that have seen the team score a measly 174 points and concede 310 or will a return to the City of Churches and the scene where they performed at their best in 2024 act as a wakeup call and bring them out of their early season reverie?  Or will the sleepy Dees treat their fans to a reenactment of their lazy effort from the first Gather Round of two years ago when they allowed the Bombers to trample all over them on a soggy and wet Adelaide Oval? The two examples from above tell us how fickle form can be in football. Last year, a committed group of players turned up in Adelaide with a businesslike mindset. They had a plan, went in confidently and hard for the football and kicked winning scores against both home teams in a difficult environment for visitors. And they repeated that sort of effort later in the season when they played Essendon at the MCG.
