What a sad, embarrassing way to end the season. Barely fired a shot.

I'll probably cop flack for this but I think we should seriously entertain the idea of trading Fritsch.

Omfg, free against Melk for using his body and strength. Umpires been horse**** the salt in the wounds.

Any danger we can tackle? It amazes me how many times our players have both hand on them but they fend it off or worse, dispose cleanly of the ball.

Definitely after the Brownlow.

I'm just hoping that Woey can develop into a player that can reliably play a role. He is a liability at the moment and I cringe when I see him named in the team.

He is way too slow by foot and upstairs.  There's just no weapons there at all that would suggest he'll be able to take the next step.

He would need to gain a yard or two in pace and a massive improvement in agility and skills.  While anything's possible it seems very unlikely at this point.

Stop the game and call it a draw….

Or stay on and let it hit Maynard

Diabolical Laurie

Shouldn't be in our list, don't understand why we keep expecting him to become a player.

Is there any chance Petty could win just one one v one contest?

Simon's Petty obsession has been a complete and utter fail this year bar about 2.5 matches.

Could've played Jeffo for two or three matches just see where he's at and give us a diff look inside 50.  Plus maybe a few goals to spur him on to work harder towards 2025.

Fritsch and ANB for Rachele and a second rounder

Is that the same Rachele who’s been dumped for repeatedly not adhering to team first values ? Didn’t think we were needing that sort of contribution

Langdon likes to take the half half approach garding 2 players and then takes the closest player leaving a free player.

It's disgraceful they are not suspending the match. This tells you that Ch7 controls the AFL.

Does anyone else think about how we were so close to getting Max Holmes instead of Laurie everytime Laurie does something rubbish?

I've been as critical of Petty as anyone this year but he has clearly improved in the latter part of the season. I don't think it would do Jeffo any good playing in this side tonight.

It’s difficult to escape the conclusion there is a range of parties against our club

Why did we go off against WCE?

What is happening with the umpiring

why doesn’t the club call this out

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
