Hope you enjoyed that one, Christian and the “direction” of the club. The only non QLD team to win at HBS this year.

I’m sure Trac has a good understanding

WTF, even when celebrating, you take an ugly blaming view.

I hate to say it but if we won just two of those four games we lost by less than a goal..ie lions....Port...Gws... Carlton....

We would be playing finals again.

Throw in some shocking injuries and it explains quite a bit.

But but but, the sky is falling is more engaging

Yeah, it is...

It doesn't tell you anything.

Of course being smashed in clearances is unsustainable, that wasn't the issue earlier in the year...

And how about you give it a rest. You don't read my posts or comprehend them, so what's the point?

Might as well. Because the only opinion you like is your own.

Jack Viney was asked about his future with the Demons when interviewed on ground after game and didn’t deny about whether he was leaving or not, just said let’s get through this and we’ll sort that stuff out at and of year, honestly think he’s thinking about going to North, they’re trying for Ollie Wines too. His old man is there and his childhood mate could be there too, don’t be surprised if he leaves at end of year!!

The Viney interview looks like it’s some kind of Rorschach test

Very nice win, but god knows what was going on with GC. They absolutely torched the footy all day, even in space, and could barely cover the ground. Very odd considering it was their weather.

Liked Kolt's 2nd half, and probably the best game I've seen JV7 play.

Langdon should never have cut his hair.

Obvious to say that Turner has the makings of a very good player - has more X factor than JVR whilst obviously being less reliable. He has an interesting and slightly unusual athletic profile.

No Trac up there is very odd considering May is the only other listed player who didn't go...and has a heavily pregnant partner.

Even Spargo went up on crutches. What's Trac's excuse? Stinks to high heaven Imo. Prepare yourselves.

It makes sense for Petracca to to keep a low profile until the season is over. Him being there may have looked good for a club perspective but also could have been a media distraction both parties wanted to avoid.

So much upside in our young group and that’s without arguably the best of the kids in Windsor….plenty of good times ahead even if we dip a little next season I don’t think we will be down for very long

After the ridiculous feeding frenzy that was the media/commentary on our club, THAT is what leadership looks like. Brutal, tough, inspiring, uncompromising. I 'dips me lid' to Viney, ANB, Gawn, Lever for showing commitment and pride to our jumper and club.

Even more so, I am loving the spirit and grunt shown by our large group of your fellas. Turner, Tholstrup, McVee etc... A real strong group of younger players reminding me of early days under Neal Daniher.

But it was against a very, very disinterested Gold Coast.

I would love to see Hardwick finish 9th for the next few years.

Love this dig at the media.

May be a dig at more than the media.

Good win. Hey, did anyone know that Gold Coast were going for their 11th win of the year which would be their best year ever??

only heard that every few minutes for the whole game…

Trac can’t get his heart rate above 110 due to his spleen and people want him to watch us play?!?!

i’m gonna guess Germany?

I am loving the hypocrisy of some (mostly one @Gawndy the Great) on this thread.

The winning feeling will go and the attacks will resruface

It’s the click bait from journalists we hate, but the need for click bait attention on this site to entertain individuals.

Just saying 😤😤😤

We won a flag on the back of high picks. You never tank but it’s nice to have both. Sadly Gold Coast are just too ordinary to have beaten us.

GC are full of high picks – but no culture.

Players will come and go, as long as the standards and culture remain strong, success will continue.

now we have gone above last year's premiers, the colliwobbles, on the ladder ...

does this meam the media will turn on the blowtorch and spotlight on the filth's obvious culture problems?

tip. don't hold your breath

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #7 Jack Viney

The Demon stalwart surpassed the number of his father's appearances for the club towards the end of the season. As he approaches his thirties, his pace is inevitably slowing, and he is likely to explore alternative opportunities beyond the team's midfield.

The Demon premiership defender who has the reputation the master of intercept possessions as well as great leadership qualities managed only eight senior games this season as he battled injury and form, prompting speculation that he might be enticed to look elsewhere.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #10 Daniel Turner

“Disco” took his time (four seasons) but the mid-season draftee has been a shining light of Melbourne's campaign, improving to become a versatile option at either end of the ground. He has great marking skills which allows him to play as a marking target up forward or an intercepting defender down back.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #11 Max Gawn

The skipper delivered another outstanding season, leading the team from the front, participating in every game, and earning club champion honours, while also securing an equal record eighth All-Australian blazer as a ruckman.  Max Gawn is arguably the greatest exponent of ruck skills in the history of the game; an exceptional leader who has guided the club to a premiership, through the challenging times that followed, and now into the next phase of its storied history.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #12 Koltyn Tholstrup

It was a frustrating season for the former number 13 draft selection, who failed to build momentum in his second campaign; Tholstrup played only nine games, having been omitted twice and substituted out three times. However, he demonstrated promising signs in the midfield at Casey towards the end of the season, and big things are anticipated from him in the coming years.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #13 Clayton Oliver

Clayton Oliver, a four-time best and fairest winner at the club, has navigated a challenging period over the past two years, marked by injuries and personal issues, but has demonstrated promising signs suggesting a return to his optimal form in 2025. He is presently contracted to the club for an additional five years, with a substantial annual salary of approximately $1.7 million in the final seasons of his agreement. All at Melbourne are eagerly anticipating his resurgence to his previous peak performance levels.
