Starting to really like Turner forward. Good level of mongrel, has the best agility of our usual tall forwards. He and JVR are a good combo to build upon.

Turner’s best asset as a forward will be/is his mobility.

Salem has no quickness on his feet.

Liability defensively.

How distant his 2021 form looks today.

I think he's been played through injury and been hampered this year, like many of our players.

Has time and space and just burns the disposals

Turner has a bit of agro about him too. And I love how Van Rooyen insists on running through people after he takes a mark.

Jesus Riv

Rivers is a momentum killer 🤦🏼‍♂️

Players that I am concerned about moving forward - Salem, Petty and Bowey, not sure Billings is a 'competitive beast' either but id like to see more of that disposal.

Howes good, Rivers thinking about Mad Monday already. Lift your game Trent, lazy football.

Rivers has got to get those dinky flashy kicks out of his game.

Rivers is mentally in Bali already.

Or a WA club

Riv needs to find something because he ain’t playing midfield with that type of disposal. That was a handball everyday of the week.

Our disposal is comedically bad.

there is a river in our momentum

Looks totally disinterested

Wtf happened to that enthusiasm moving into the guts...?

Zero tackles from Nibbler.. Hmm that’s unusual. Perhaps preserving himself for his next club.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
