  • Demonland changed the title to Tracc Wants Out?

It was flagged in here a few days back so there is no point at abusing Tom ambulance chaser Morris.

What a cluster # ck this " Club" is

Great club

Said in another thread that there were some unhappy players at the club. Trac was one of them.

Regardless of what some people on hete think that every single player is happy at our club and for the coach, well they arent, that's the reality.

Some are happy, some aren't. That's footy clubs for you.

The club handled the Trac situation poorly and the family are still not on great terms with the club.

From a players parent I bumped into a few weeks back.

The report is that he’s unhappy with the club (but not Goodwin) and if he were out of contract would request a trade tomorrow.

If true, this is a “sack whoever it takes to appease him” situation. This club will fold if Trac leaves. It’s not just who he is on the field, it’s who he is off it. He’s connection to our supporter base, he’s marketable, he gives us relevance where we might not otherwise have it. He has, until King’s Birthday, been so incredibly passionate about this club. If changes can be made to make him feel more comfortable, then we make those changes. Stuff concerns about putting one player above the rest. Exceptions get made for people like Trac.

Trac has always struck me as the type who has looked for an excuse to leave

As much as I hate to hear this development, I can understand his concern. The Grundy experiment, the recruiting of 2nd rate players like Billings, McAdam etc, no reward for players going well at Casey. Might be the kick up the [censored] the board and coaching committee need to hear. 🤔☹️

I see. So club is aware of these frustrations and investigating. Cool

Learnings

But I thought everyone was happy and loved the coach and club? Welcome to the reality of a football club. Would hate to lose him but understand the frustration.

Change is needed and must happen rapidly.

About the most of it. There's always a mystery club. Straight swap for Nick Daicos or no deal.

Well holy Toledo

Apparently Max Gawn told him to ‘man the f up’ and get back out on the field when he was injured, and that Goody gave him a spray because he went down to the rooms instead of staying out on the ground at quarter time

if he wants out, he wants out

no point having a player who doesn't want to be there

Well Morris did say he hasn’t got a problem with the coach… I’m not sure what he means by direction of the club. If it’s to do with finishing 13th I can confirm that 66k members are also unhappy with this

That’s what happens when you get back to 17K crowds on Saturday night prime time

Would get some great draft currency and setup up our rebuild. Not saying I would trade, but if unhappy- then so be it.

Source?

Even this report says he’s not upset at Goodwin per se.

So potentially within the span of 12 months

Brayshaw - retired

Oliver - linked to Adelaide

Viney - linked to North

Petracca - possibly requesting a trade

What the bleep has happened to this football club?

Despite a spirited third quarter surge, the Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, remaining winless and second last on the ladder after a 39-point defeat to Essendon at Adelaide Oval in Gather Round.

It’s Game Day, and the Demons are staring down the barrel of an 0-5 start for the first time since 2012 as they take on Essendon at Adelaide Oval for Gather Round. In that forgettable season, Melbourne finally broke their drought by toppling the Bombers. Can lightning strike twice? Will the Dees turn their nightmare start around and breathe life back into 2025?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

As the focus of the AFL moves exclusively to South Australia for Gather Round, the question is raised as to what are we going to get from the  Melbourne Football Club this weekend? Will it be a repeat of the slop fest of the last three weeks that have seen the team score a measly 174 points and concede 310 or will a return to the City of Churches and the scene where they performed at their best in 2024 act as a wakeup call and bring them out of their early season reverie?  Or will the sleepy Dees treat their fans to a reenactment of their lazy effort from the first Gather Round of two years ago when they allowed the Bombers to trample all over them on a soggy and wet Adelaide Oval? The two examples from above tell us how fickle form can be in football. Last year, a committed group of players turned up in Adelaide with a businesslike mindset. They had a plan, went in confidently and hard for the football and kicked winning scores against both home teams in a difficult environment for visitors. And they repeated that sort of effort later in the season when they played Essendon at the MCG.
