No, but refusal to accept reality and not make necessary changes can be and often is worse.

If you think we will be fine without Trac and he is the only one with issues you need your head read. Just so happens that two of our most professional players want out in the same offseason and now Kozzy is suddenly feeling a bit homesick too. Read the room.

Im glad this happening two years before Tassie and not when they arrive. The club needs a reset right now. Carrying on with the people we have in charge for another 12 months thinking everything is fine will only extend the misery and make it harder to get the club back on course.

Don’t bring ANB into it, completely unrelated to club issues.

If you don’t think the club will survive without Trac send him a letter with your pocket money taped to it and see if that changes his mind. Meanwhile the adults in list management will work out what deal we can get and how to move forward.

Sacking the board and coaching staff isn’t going to change his mind, Trac wants out for Trac, wants to play in front of the pies big crowds and boost his TikTok numbers.

No one said everything is fine but a complete reset equals a decade of recovery. Maybe Pert needs to go, maybe it’s Richardson. Maybe there’s others, but burning the joint down helps nothing.

Hence why I said “changes to be made no doubt” which you seem to have quoted but not quite grasped.

Trac’s not even bigger than Gawn let alone the club.

Norf are 10 years into a rebuild and won 3 games. They’re a shambles.

Tiges entire list is leaving. They’re in trouble.

We’re under the pump no doubt but burning the joint down doesn’t make 2025 better, it sets us back a decade. Changes to be made no doubt, but panicking doesn’t help anything.

Pretty sure 3 of our Top 10 players want to leave...ANB, Kosi, Trac add in depth like Tomlinson and i'd say like the Tigers we are in trouble...this is before we lost Smith, Brayshaw...gee whiz thats a big number of our best 22

Why would you add in depth like Tomlinson though? He’s not best 22 and has no contract which is why he’s going. He’s hardly Shai Bolton.

Brayshaw would give his left agate to be still playing for us. Can’t blame the club that he’s not.

Smith made his own mistake.

It’s not a tigers situation at all.

When I say reset it doesnt mean rebuild. It means we need a new direction. Sacking Richardson and keeping Goody is absolutely pointless, much like with the Stafford sacking. Those guys are there as servants of Goodwin. Bringing in another two servants wont change anything.

Well that’s probably not unreasonable, everyone else on here seems to want the whole place cleaned out from the board to the bootstudder which I don’t think is helpful.

I think we have to keep Goodwin for at least another year. The back end of 2021 is the best football I’ve seen us play in my life. We’ve been exciting before, we’ve scored heavily before but that finals series was something else. I don’t think he’s had a clear run at it since, and while we’re all flat about the straight sets we weren’t far off. This year has been no good but we make some changes, see what we can get in the trade (despite CP5 tanking our brand) and draft and go again.

I don’t see any better alternatives out there - west coast can’t even find anyone to apply for their job.

Let me throw up GWS as an example. Leon Cameron had them in flag contention (didnt win a flag like Goody but made it to a grand final) after that they dropped away slowly but surely playing boring predictable football towards the end much like we have this year. In comes Adam Kingsley who reenergises the entire club in quick time. Nobody was saying how great the Kingsley appointment was at the time. Same could be said for Collingwood with Buckley and McRae.

Stop living in 2021 that time has passed us by. Dont be scared of change, embrace it.

58ER, I have supported this club for 68 years and I have put up with many many frustrating years. For us to win only one flag in 57 years is shocking. I suppose your'e one of these people who don't mind constant failure. I can say that I actually enjoyed our dynasty in the 50's.

The "fans", being fans of all clubs who chose to vote. A completely useless poll.

Looks like Goody is still the HS whipping boy.

They have really treated him poorly and it's amazing that he still has anything to do with Robbo and his mob.

That’s hilarious. It’s like one of those Twitter polls that Trump posted ‘proving’ he won the debate. Comedy gold.

Absolutely disgraceful by the HS

someone from the club (Pert or Green) needs to call this witch hunt out.

Sounds about right.

If you interviewed 100 Melbourne supporters walking out of the G after the last Pies game, I reckon 75-80 would be happy to see the back of him.

basically they have chosen 11 people to as a

I think the sample size was 11 and probably all related to Gutnick

For anyone who wants to sack Goody, who are you suggesting should coach in 2025?

I don't see better options out there tbh

Sorry but we need a change of philosophy and style to get the younger players having fun etc. and not as if their life is at stake.

Who?

I don't see any better candidates in the market.

Simmo? Ken Hinkley if he gets sacked?

People calling to sack the coach just want some blood. Would set us back a few years IMO

That "poll" is ridiculous. Who votes? What do they know? Do they want to help Melbourne, or are they perhaps from other clubs who want to damage us?

I have seen some terrible clickbait but that is a new low.

If we sacked goodwin can u imagine the media pile on .. club in crises … stories. They WANT us to sack him to keep running with this sh@tfull narrative. “Dees sack premiership coach”

Do its Def a no from me… fr many reasons ( 3 x top 4 finishes and a flag fr one) but feeding the never ending media  narrative is another one of many not to do this.

This thread will be an interesting read in mid July next year I reckon. For better or worse. Regardless, Goody is under the pump.
