The Demons return to the MCG on Saturday night to take on the Port Adelaide Power in the hopes to salvage some pride out of a disappointing season. Who comes in and who goes out?

Viney looks really sore, will probably require surgery on his shoulder

Oliver has 14 pins in his hand, will require surgery

Gawn has his ankle/leg issue

May has his back/ribs issue

Get them all in for surgery/recovery early so that they are fit for the majority of the preseason. And give the AFL minutes to guys in the VFL to see what they have (Laurie, Jefferson, Fullarton, K Brown)

Tonight was our last shot at '24.

Results be damned, It's officially time to rest the older guys or anyone who isn't 100% and get some games into the kids.

Lingers and McVee will get rubbed out. May will miss too.

Langdon probably gets a week for that but English dominates the last quarter.

Bedford and Cameron put their opponents into next week and somehow play the next week.

Try explaining that to someone new to the game.

Use the next couple of weeks to rest a couple. Viney for a week and Clarry for a week. Try and be in as good as shape as possible for the filth in the last game.

May obviously injured, feels like Gawn, Oliver and Viney are too.

TMac's form has disintegrated in a fortnight.

We've spent all year trying to force the square peg that is Petty into the round hole that is our forward line. I think that experiment can end. With May going out, put Petty back and accept that from now on he's a defender. He will have TMac's spot next year, most likely.

If that means it's time to play Jefferson in the forward line, so be it.

Oofa doofa. This is gonna be ugly. The crowd will be back to 2008-2013 levels and the performance could match it.

I'm disappointed that he's such a confidence player after all these years.

You could tell from very early on tonight he was thinking about last week.

I think it might be time I'm afraid...

Jeffo will only come in if one of the other talls goes out. Can't see them dropping anyone, in spite of anything, players like Petty and Turner need game time. So depends on May?

That’s what I said - May out injured, Petty goes back, Jefferson comes in.

Tom McDonald is ready for retirement.  He’s moving slower and getting outbodied.  Just hanging in. Has moments but is getting exposed too much. Goodwin had refused to play Tomlinson who surely walks out after getting overlooked again this year.

Yes, exit interviews could be interesting unless he makes the decision himself. Would prefer TMac stayed, even if he plays the year out at Casey where he could bring a bit of experience. Can't see BBB or Schache going round again.

I was all for him going around again two weeks ago, even after last week I thought he could go around one more time, but he's in his head already.

I think he'll hang them up.

Just want to see Jefferson and Laurie in for the remaining games. Not much else to get excited about for the remainder of this season.

Time for the draft board to be opened up?

Tomlinson, I believe, has been available for over a year. Nobody took a bite last year.

Tom controlled Hogan for the best part of 3/4's before a couple of good efforts by Jesse after a flood of supply. Had a shocker tonight but also got some of the roughest umpiring you'll ever see. Honestly, a few dropped marks paid and laughable frees against.

He'll finish very highly in the B+F. If he's keen to play on someone will nab him. If we move him on it will only be because we've found another option and we want to stagger the McDonald/May coming off the list.

Why would he be dropped for Tomlinson who would've given up just as many if not more contests tonight given the flood of supply.

Disco in for May, not too worried about which end he or Petty plays.

The big guns won't take a rest whilst we are still mathematically alive.

Hore for Moniz-Wakefield please, we need some experience and steadiness down back.

No interest in Jeffo this year unless really needed. He still doesn't have the body for AFL footy and won't touch it with no supply at all. Round 1 next year has to be the target.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
