We really need to develop some forward movement to advantage, especially when we have the ball around 70 metres out from goal.  So many times we have players looking to pass and all they see is a static half forward line standing in the same space that they should be vacating to allow the big boys to lead into.   They should be working to create more space and clear a path for the bigger bodies guys to lead into....and then run over any defenders that get in the way.   Maybe that's too simplistic but the alternative of just bombing it long to a contest gets a bit predictable.

Of course we should have a look and I think we're at a stage where our list is crying out for some fresh voices, faces and ideas. 

New coaches in an AFL environment breathe new energy and are generally a catalyst for renewed notivation and individual growth across a playing list. 

I think it's one of the most important factors going into next year for us and I think that is absolutely clear from looking at our performances this year.

While injecting new energy into a team can be invigorating, it's crucial to consider the broader picture. Simply swapping coaches might provide a short-term boost, but it's essential to address the root causes of underperformance.

New faces can certainly offer fresh perspectives, but relying solely on this approach overlooks the complexities of team dynamics. Sustainable success often hinges on identifying and addressing deeper issues within the group, rather than seeking a quick-fix solution.

Furthermore, continuity with coaching staff is often overlooked. Building strong player-coach relationships, developing a cohesive team culture, and implementing long-term strategies require time and stability. Numerous examples in sports, such as the sustained success of {insert dozens of options here}😎 , highlight the significance of this factor.

I don't think the players are bored of the message from Goodwin, nor the 10 months that McQualter has been there...  good to throw some ideas around though M.A.D 😀

I think Teague is looking for a different role inside club enviroment other than coaching.

To be clear, I think it's an important factor, clearly not the only one. And I appreciate the complexities involved within a coaching group and their relationship with a list. 

I can't help but feel the group needs another McCartney type of figurehead at the club. And one more brainiac/strategist to take our forwardline.

I wouldn't be going for David Teague.

What's Josh Mahoney up to? Would he swallow/sparrow his ego and come back and work alongside Lamb and co in the FD? 

If I’m being brutally honest, we should be doing the same thing with McQualter. Clearly hasn’t worked this year. Teague on the other hand would be a great addition for us and has a proven track record of improving a team’s scoring.

Rawlings has been our defensive coach for eons, but that’s our least concern atm.

No not at all Richtank gave us Mc Qualter... and you have seen what has happened to our midfield havent you??? A big fat NO!

Teague is Rod Grinter’s cousin.

He was a terrifically gutsy player .

Got two very experienced people already here :  Melsham and Brown . Maybe they could be developed (by Choco)

After the hatchet job he did to Carlton? No thanks.

Rawlings is the coach of the table topping Norwood Football Club in the SANFL.

Nah don't think so. You know who would be good to get in a few years time. Pendlebury.  He has great leadership skills, is the ultimate professional  & a great player.

There was talk up here that Corowa Rutherglen Football Club were rumoured for have been into Teagues ear around the mid yeah for a senior coaching gig next year but I barely took notice as he was obviously still with the Tigers.

Obviously this decision has been on the cards for a while it seems.
