Worth the risk IMO. We have a bit of history in bringing in players for second chances/fresh starts. Hasn't always worked but I feel our culture within the four walls (not in the hyperbolic media) is pretty sound and there aren't too many repeat offenders once they're in the red and blue in terms of off field stuff. We're getting some credit now with how well the club dealt with/supported Clayton through his struggles as a perfect example of the clubs cultural integrity.

As we saw on the weekend we can take it right up to the best in the comp. We have a top four backline and ball winning/contested midfield. We're just lacking some extra skill/kicking across our mid/front half which I feel we're slowly addressing as well as a genuine natural tall forward. Our backman-turned-forwards in Petts and JVR are going OK but imagine a fit and firing Jamarra in the mix.

yea players who are involved with gangs and arms dealers are not worth the risk.....

I think that's why due diligence needs to be done. What was going on. What are you doing now. Do you want to be an AFL footballer and not part of this?

These are all questions you would ask and the deal would be short, say 2 years.

For mine, the most pressing need is to find support for Max to extend the career of the greatest ruckman the game has seen. Campbell was good recruiting as an injury back up but we need a ruck forward .

we do need a gun forward though

Assume your taking the p 1 5 5 out of me with that post?

It absolutely could backfire badly.... but could also be amazing, not sure how hard that is to understand?

And again, this was said by Billy Brownless I'm not making stuff up and I'd like to think I have a decent rep on here for that.

Sorry those were double entendres - like a play on words so to speak, not your view. Although on that I think more exposure with Clarry will likely be a bad thing.

You should cool your chambers there and no needs to go off half cocked.

He has shown he could be a gun with a very good set shot. Could be Russian roulette however.

I do hope weโ€™re into Sam Flanders if heโ€™s looking to get back to Victoria

Heโ€™s exactly the type of midfielder we need in our engine room - fast, skilled and able to rack them up at will

A nice age at 23 too - we need more in that 23-25 age bracket If weโ€™re to avoid having an unbalanced list

Rarely see Cadman mentioned but he would be a good get. Back home to Vic.

Is contracted to end of 26, as if that means anything these days....

he's the future of the forward line for gw$

they will fight tooth and nail to hold onto him - just as they did to secure the #1 pick to acquire him - and he'll be rewarded accordingly

Trac doesn't look like he is interested one bit, not sure if his currency is worth as much as 2 years ago. Hates the contest and is constantly pissing and moaning in the back ground, definitely doesn't like being in kozzys shadow. I wouldn't be one bit upset at the moment if he was floated for a genuine forward, one that puts is hands up to mark and kick it through the big sticks. If they don't wana be there let them go. With our pathetic forward line set up, why isn't Jefferson put back in, we were never in the finals hunt this year, get games into these kids.

Not sure anyoneโ€™s going to take him to be honest

a clean ball user

and a reliable goal kicker please

Salem has regressed year on year and he is supposed to be one of the elite kicks in the comp.

Iโ€™m afraid under this style of system, not even Harry Sheezle or a Callaghan would thrive. Even looking at Lindsay, he kicks it well, but often flat footed. Really wish Goodwin would just let him play as a handball receiver and run free to make better use of his skills.

Send him to Collingwood. He was happy to hug and laugh with that #4 thug that plays in the white and black.

I'm hearing ya. But there's still currency there for a Collingwood or Carlton, where i think he would thrive. We just aren't a destination club, and we won't ever be when our leaders are showing pathetic body language, its a job and players want to play where they are happy just like every other job place. The game is just going past our senior players at a rapid pace, we got bluffed into a contract for viney, don't know why the Kolt was dropped after last week, I love his energy and mongrel he has, just far to many holes from a playing list side of things.

Iโ€™m not sure Trac ever gets back to being in the best players of the comp, heโ€™s had a very serious injury, granted, but heโ€™s avoiding contact, fumbling like crazy and kicking like an u8.

I know heโ€™s doing plenty of work at training, often last off the track, he just seems to be mentally defeated.

His value could not possibly be any lower right now

I have a new most disliked player-Butters.

I find his behaviour on the field pathetic.
