Gawd this is a cholera-level bed-[censored] by Adelaide right now.

Just now, whatwhat say what said:

from mum: 8 kicks and 7 goals 1 for amartey

Add another kick and another goal

Someone needs to call the cops… get the Amartey party shut down  🥴

Petty could be a handy addition to their backline 😏

The umpires seem determined to cause a hometown riot. They seem hellbent on finding every minuscule holding/ blocking free for Sydney they can conjure up.

The Swans are a talented team, but they are just having one of those seasons where it all really clicks - like us in ‘21, Cats in ‘22, and Pies last year.

They have the confidence of a team who are having their year.

Wow a functional forward line who would have thought that, maybe just a thought we could try that...

amazing amartey

Surely he'll get a chance for 10. It's rare these days for a player to kick that many.

What a turn around by Sydney

Has anyone ever kicked 9 goals from 10 touches?

he has kicked 20% of his career goal total in one night

good lord

[censored] pathetic from the Crows

10 goals straight against when winning at home

Sydney look so quick. Both with the ball and closing speed applying pressure.

Yeah they have that belief that they’ll just grind any team down and win

Cats and Dees... yes.

Collingwood is just a superbly coached team where the buy-in and hunger is at an all time high. Collingwood rarely won big last year. They just found a way to win. But there was always a lingering sense someone could beat them.

Sydney is just awesome.

That Grundy guy goes all right....

Yeah remember when goody chose Schache over him in a final last year

Sure, but in what role - he wouldn't / couldn't play froward at all (after the practice match at Casey v Richmond)??

can see the bloods doing what they always seem to be doing of late - give up a start in q1, grind their way into it in q2 and q3, and then run away with it in q4

seems to have been the modus operandi of late - it was ours for a while too over the 2021-23 years; you come unstuck eventually, as we know

it's a risky way to play

Thanks, Nostradamus 🙄

What a performance by Joel Armati.  9.1 from 10 disposals, including 7 marks, 6 tackles.    Could anyone ever do that in the red and blue??

"Only" 195 cm.

Do we have any recruiting scouts in Ghana?

  • REPORT: Essendon

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.

Despite a spirited third quarter surge, the Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, remaining winless and second last on the ladder after a 39-point defeat to Essendon at Adelaide Oval in Gather Round.

It’s Game Day, and the Demons are staring down the barrel of an 0-5 start for the first time since 2012 as they take on Essendon at Adelaide Oval for Gather Round. In that forgettable season, Melbourne finally broke their drought by toppling the Bombers. Can lightning strike twice? Will the Dees turn their nightmare start around and breathe life back into 2025?
