The Demons and Magpies are both virtually out of contention for finals in the VFL.

The Pies have a lot of injury problems.

The Demons have a lot of problems.

Who will win?

And of course Luker Kentfield to debut with 10 goals, 15 contested marks, 5 goal assists, 15 tackles. 🙄

...before backing up to debut on Monday after a rich vein of form.

Big Kent to go bezerk.😂

I would like to see Jefferson play a similar role to JVR  i.e forward / ruck. He needs to get mileage into his legs. K.Brown needs to play forward as he has got strength and speed. Schache and Fullerton I would play them in defence. Losing to Coburg is a disgrace .Coach needs to go.McQ should take over. The club needs mids ,certainly we could have picked up from the delisted pile.

Sunday afternoon at Casey.  Traditional VFA/VFL timeslot.
At least no carry over travelling emergencies or will be the conservative kings again and keep multiple players out just in case someone slips on the white line running out.  FFS.

You lost me at 'ruck'

We are def short two quality mids.  One inside & one outside

If Clarry doesn't get back to contested beast mode of the past we are toast

Faster than a speeding bullet. More powerful than a locomotive. Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound.
Look! Up in the sky! It's a bird.
 It's a plane.
It's Superman!
Yes, it's Superman, strange visitor from another planet who came to earth with powers and abilities.
And able to lift the under performing Demons out of their tenth ladder position form slump?

Besides he's in Red 'n Blue what could go wrong?

Surely the teams for this are out?

Crazy.  The game is tomorrow and not even listed on any social media or Demons website

Pathetic is the only word for it

I think the club will announce its playing list for the Kings Birthday game prior to the Casey game. Have the Pies named their squad for tomorrow?

Wonder how we will navigate our tall forwards in the coming weeks when Schache returns from injury.

Shache, Ben Brown, Jefferson, Fullarton and Kentfield is way too top heavy. I would put Schache into defence, a role he had done previously at the dogs.

Should be Shache back, Fullerton ruck and maybe Kentfield relieving, if that's what the club want him to do. Maybe BBB gets a break?

I don’t mind this. Verrall needs to be in this equation as well.

Clearly on ch7 just said Kreuger as been left out of Collingwoods VFL team so presumably those team selections should be available somewhere

Filth ressies team announced!! WTH is going on at Dees and Casey surely they can announce !

  • NON-MFC: Round 12

Round 12 kicks off with the Brisbane hosting Essendon at the Gabba as the Lions aim to solidify their top-two position against an injury-hit Bombers side seeking to maintain momentum after a win over Richmond. On Friday night it's a blockbuster at the G as the Magpies look to extend their top of the table winning streak while the Hawks strive to bounce back from a couple of recent defeats and stay in contention for the Top 4. On Saturday the Suns, buoyed by 3 wins on the trot, face the Dockers in a clash crucial for both teams' aspirations this season. The Suns want to solidify their Top 4 standing whilst the Dockers will be desperate to break into the 8.

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The media has performed a complete reversal in its coverage of the Melbourne Football Club over the past month and a half. Having endured intense criticism from all quarters in the press, which continually identified new avenues for scrutiny of every aspect, both on and off the field, and prematurely speculated about the departures of coaches, players, officials, and various employees from a club that lost its first five matches and appeared out of finals contention, the narrative has suddenly shifted to one of unbridled optimism.  The Demons have won five of their last six matches, positioning themselves just one game (and a considerable amount of percentage) outside the top eight at the halfway mark of the season. They still trail the primary contenders and remain far from assured of a finals berth.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.
