[censored] imagine life as a Dockers fan and watching them play.

Spent my whole life as a melbourne supporter, I don't have to imagine.
And our gameplan while somewhat effective is ugly AF and a tough watch.
And that's if we're playing well.
Every game is a grind .... For me as well.
Goodwin is wasting the careers of our guns and the best big marketing opportunity we've had for 59yrs playing boring unattractive footy.
If this club wants to survive long term we've got to get bums on seats, eyes on TVs, which will excite and expand the membership base and create more lucrative sponsorships.
We've got to entertain the mob.
Not bore them to tears using a rugby union type maul for the gameplan.

Today’s games are meh. Next week we have some beauties, while we rest up.

Is Tex Walker the most overly relied on player in the league? It feels like for a few years now, unless Tex has a good game, Adelaide won’t win.

That was just amazing! What a finish, and finally Carlton is on the wrong side of a nail-biter. YAY 🥳

Soz @No. 31!

Except sooooo not soz it hurts 😂

The Blues pooped on the Navy Blue bedsheets last night. Allowed a mediocre Crows team a lifeline for this season when we could have ripped out their black little Crom hearts. I hate the Crows! lol

I was at a wedding last night and only was able to catch parts of it. Watched the last few minutes on my phone at the wedding reception 🤦‍♂️

Will subject myself to the replay over morning coffee ... bitter tasting coffee 😁

Injuries are mounting and its a tough block in the fixture list coming up (GWS, Geelong, C'Wood, Dees & Swans away) ... will really test us ...

You’re brave @No. 31

I have a hard rule of never watching the replay of a loss.

Is it getting worse over the years @Demon Dynasty? Mine is.

No just last night QD.

I worked out you have to turn battery option to 'unrestricted' in the Kayo app so it can permanently run at optimum in the background when your phone screen is shut down while streaming.

Didnt help last night though.  I suspect a recent buggy update.  Will probably get fixed with next update.

Well it wasn't a 50 point pasting (I would probably give that a miss), a close loss where we kicked 14 points, want to see what we did wrong (curses at the tv ... 😁).

Carlton fans booing the umpires when they’ve had one less free for the game, but 4 goals from very questionable frees.

My least favourite supporters by a mile.

Collingwood supporters will boo that comment!

Never mind the Blues losing to Adelaide… you have friends who plan a wedding in footy season? Harsh.

Same here. I don’t watch any of the footy programs either. It frees up a ton of time for other things, such as sulking.

Right now it feels like GWS, Port, Fremantle, Carlton and Geelong are all legitimate flag contenders.

For whatever reason, IMO the jury's still out on Sydney. I can't shake their fortnight of a loss to Richmond then trailing West Coast for a half. But you can probably add them to the list.

That's six sides before you get to Brisbane, Collingwood or us.

It's a pretty strong year at the top, IMO.

It doesn't help us that we have each of Brisbane, Collingwood, Port and Fremantle twice each.

we're just as much in contention as that top 6 you mentioned

i've have flagmantle out of that group and us in; they keep dropping close ones

Don’t disagree about us. Just noting there’s a stack of clubs outside of us and last year’s grand finalists who appear legit this year.

definitely

other than the three stragglers down the bottom, it's a very even competition

so much is reliant upon good luck with injury and being in good form when it counts

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
