Kanes had the perfect opportunity to take Christian threatened to resign over the Maynard debacle last year.

I can only assume the boys club stepped in.

Any boss in any organisation would normally take that tantrum and show him the door.

Disgraceful

don't forget, laura kane IS part of the boy's club

Was found guilty of medium impact, that is a suspension, unless you are a good bloke, who in Cameron’s case work's with Indigenous youth.

Robbo, Whately on 360 stunned, journos Jay Clark, Glen McFarlane and Ralphy on Midweek Tackle, also stunned and appeared actually angry.

We have one rule for some and another for others.

Can’t wait to hear Kingy.

Laura Kanes’ words of “all players are treated equally” are now quite hollow.

IMO the sooner the Tribunal Chairman and Christian are gone and the whole system is overhauled, the better.

Consistency simply does not exist in the AFL judiciary.

Why Christian, he gave Cameron a week, the chairman is just another corrupt AFL official.

What are  you talking about Christian actually gave him a week, it was a chairman that gave him a fine,  the chairman is the corrupt one, Christian has actually been quite consistent this year this is squarely on a chairman he is corrupt

No issues with the verdict.

I assume if/when Max, T Mac, Trac and Oliver all cop their first suspensions at the MRO, they will be able to present their "200 games without suspension" pass to the tribunal (the latter two will get to 200 soon).

So what's different for Kozzy? Surely he is as popular as Cameron.

There's something beyond money, the AFL has their favourite children (Sydney, Geelong et al.)

If its an AFL Darling , then nothing to see here, anyone else and you get life! absolute joke!

ANNND the Chairman is???

And there are people on here who scoff at my repeated comment that WWE is the only honest sport in the world.

As much as I want Christians gone, he actually did his job right here. It was the tribunal and Jeff Gleeson that fudged this one up.

The most hilarious outcome here would be the AFL to come out and overrule/appeal the decision just to add to the ongoing circus that is the tribunal and MRO.

Quite likely, and will fit snuggly into the AFL's bizarre narrative that they have everything under control!

Not sure if mentioned here yet but Gary Lyon on SEN this morning brought up the little known fact that Cameron has been FINED 5 times in his career for dangerous tackles.🤦‍♂️

He doesn’t have a spotless record like Pendlebury for example, and obviously hasn’t learnt from his soft feather warnings

Best part is that if he does it again he will still be able to affirm to the tribunal that he has never been suspended.

Reminds me of a guy a used to know who had [definitely not Serbian mafia] lawyers who got him off driving charge after driving charge with 'good record' and 'first offence' arguments. None were recorded as convictions therefore the defence could be recycled every time.

A little side note; I think it is time we started systematically tying the little red strings on the wall chart back to Channel 7. Starting to look like that network is leaning on the scales of the AFL, it's coverage, and it's administration in numerous 'unhelpful' ways.

Pert and Roffey should be demanding he heads of Gleeson and Christiansen

They are not impartial

We won’t though, because Melbourne

just like we were all crickets after Maynard’s hit

it’s a key reason I have not renewed my membership - along with some others

Are you still talking about this?

Wow

I have a close contact currently employed inside HQ.  He/she says the team is heavily loaded with staff with long periods of employment and the organiastion is inherently conservative and in dire need of fresh faces.

Dillon is a 20 year man for example. Laura Kane as described above.  etc.

Both are currently in search of a backbone but that's another issue.

Do we think someone like PeterV'landys would take the rubbish the MRO handed down this week. I think not.

But apparently if Kossie hadn't been suspended 3 times he might have got off with a fine.!!

  • CASEY: Geelong

There was a time in the second quarter of the game at the Cattery on Friday afternoon when the Casey Demons threatened to take the game apart against the Cats. The Demons had been well on top early but were struggling to convert their ascendancy over the ground until Tom Fullarton’s burst of three goals in the space of eight minutes on the way to a five goal haul and his best game for the club since arriving from Brisbane at the end of 2023. He was leading, marking and otherwise giving his opponents a merry dance as Casey grabbed a three goal lead in the blink of an eye. Fullarton has now kicked ten goals in Casey’s three matches and, with Melbourne’s forward conversion woes, he is definitely in with a chance to get his first game with the club in next week’s Gather Round in Adelaide. Despite the tall forward’s efforts - he finished with 19 disposals and eight marks and had four hit outs as back up to Will Verrall in the second half - it wasn’t enough as Geelong reigned in the lead through persistent attacks and eventually clawed their way to the lead early in the last and held it till they achieved the end aim of victory.

  • REPORT: Geelong

I was disappointed to hear Goody say at his post match presser after the team’s 39 point defeat against Geelong that "we're getting high quality entry, just poor execution" because Melbourne’s problems extend far beyond that after its 0 - 4 start to the 2025 football season. There are clearly problems with poor execution, some of which were evident well before the current season and were in play when the Demons met the Cats in early May last year and beat them in a near top-of-the-table clash that saw both sides sitting comfortably in the top four after round eight. Since that game, the Demons’ performances have been positively Third World with only five wins in 19 games with a no longer majestic midfield and a dysfunctional forward line that has become too easy for opposing coaches to counter. This is an area of their game that is currently being played out as if they were all completely panic-stricken.

  • PREGAME: Essendon

Facing the very real and daunting prospect of starting the season with five straight losses, the Demons head to South Australia for the annual Gather Round, where they’ll take on the Bombers in search of their first win of the year. Who comes in, and who comes out?

  • NON-MFC: Round 04

Round 4 kicks off with a blockbuster on Thursday night as traditional rivals Collingwood and Carlton clash at the MCG, with the Magpies looking to assert themselves as early-season contenders and the Blues seeking their first win of the season. Saturday opens with Gold Coast hosting Adelaide, a key test for the Suns as they aim to back up their big win last week, while the Crows will be looking to keep their perfect record intact. Reigning wooden spooners Richmond have the daunting task of facing reigning premiers Brisbane at the ‘G and the Lions will be eager to reaffirm their premiership credentials after a patchy start. Saturday night sees North Melbourne take on Sydney at Marvel Stadium, with the Swans looking to build on their first win of the season last week against a rebuilding Roos outfit. Sunday’s action begins with GWS hosting West Coast at ENGIE Stadium, a game that could get ugly very early for the visitors. Port Adelaide vs St Kilda at Adelaide Oval looms as a interesting clash, with both clubs form being very hard to read. The round wraps up with Fremantle taking on the Western Bulldogs at Optus Stadium in what could be a fierce contest between two sides with top-eight ambitions. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons besides us winning?
