Picket doesn’t seem to have learned anything from his last suspension.

Looks like he might miss a week again.

He needs to learn from his mistakes.

He s gone for at least one. Shame.

Wasn't much but it today's climate too much.

He's missed one game this year already.

He wouldn't want a third stroke.

It’s a pleasure supporting a good team. It really is. We all have a whinge and get down on them from time to time but we really have to remember to appreciate this team and this time. Won’t last forever. And blimey we all know what the lows are like.

A great team effort in my opinion.
not every player can get 20 touches,

play your part and only a few stuff ups

I only saw a couple and they were early.

easier to pick the average players rather than the best.  It is a GREAT time to follow the mighty DEMONS

Another professional victory. Should have won by 10 goals, but some days it doesn’t all come together. The important part is winning the game anyway.

Big 2021 vibes.

What a trip for the club. Take the points and get the hell out of there!

Strange night on the stats sheet again. Lots of players down on numbers. Got it done though

Get home fast, boys, get rested, train hard, rest and kill the Lions. Great SA performance.

Didn't get to watch the game unfortunately. But to win tonight on a five-day break on the road, against a side under intense pressure, is a win we have to be proud of no matter how ugly it might have looked and no matter how inaccurate we were.

Can anyone let me know what happened to Brown (no touches for a half) and Oliver (only 16 touches)?

He (BT) is better than the umpires, though. Go Dees!

With Bb it was somewhat of a delivery issue.

Oliver was tagged and obviously playing with one hand. Not an easy thing.

Brown subbed off in the last.
Clarry with a busted hand doing his best

2/2 In SA. Fantastic. Not easy. Well done to the lads. Wasn’t our best game. But we got the job done, I don’t think the umpires served our game style well. Windsor compliments this group a lot. JVR at his best lifts our morale. Petty is a back man, and that isn’t a bad thing, as hell replace May eventually. I thought TMAC did well. Chandler had good pressure. A real game turner was Fritsch, and Pickett was there when needed.

LIVE AND LET DIE by Meggs

The Demons’ impressive late season charge to finals will most likely come unstuck this Saturday evening when the Bombers blow up the also-ran Blues in the Ikon Park double-header.   To mangle McCartney, what does it matter to ya? To have any chance to play next week Narrm has got a job to do and needs to do it well.  We’ve got to give the Pie sheilas hell, say live and let die! It’s Indigenous Round for this game and the chance to celebrate and engage with Aboriginal and Torres

2024 Player Reviews: #35 Harry Petty

Failed to fulfill the promise of his breakout six goal effort against the Tigers in 2023 and was generally disappointing as a key forward. It remains to be seen whether Simon Goodwin will persevere with him in attack or return him to the backline where he was an important cog in the club’s 2021 premiership success. 2024 Player Reviews: #22 Blake Howes

After a bright start to the season, playing mostly in defence, Howes seemed to lose his way in midseason but fought back with some good performances at Casey and finished the year back at AFL level. Originally an NBL basketballer with the Brisbane Bullets, he moved across town in 2019 to the AFL Lions where he played 19 games before crossing to Melbourne where he was expected to fill a role as a back up ruckman/key forward. Unfortunately, didn’t quite get there although he did finish equal sixth in Casey’s best and fairest award. Date of Birth: 23 February 1999 Height: 198cm Games CDFC: 14 Goals CDFL: 13

2024 Player Reviews: #10 Angus Brayshaw

Sadly, had to wrap up a great career in midstream on the back of multiple concussions which culminated in the Maynard hit in the 2023 Qualifying Final. His loss to the club was inestimable over and above his on field talent given his character and leadership qualities, all of which have been sorely missed. 2024 Player Reviews: #40 Taj Woewodin

The son of former Demon Brownlow Medalist Shane, Taj added a further 16 games to his overall tally of games but a number were as substitute. He is slowly fitting into the team structure but without doing anything spectacular and needs to take further steps forward in 2025 for his career to progress.
