Take it you never worked at the Just Group. I did 7 years there and it nearly destroyed me mentally and emotionally. Looking back I wish I wasn’t so naive and young. Should have sued their [censored] for workplace bullying.

No. I did 6 months in the fashion/retail space and knew it wasn’t for me.

From all reports the culture of all those places is toxic. Unnecessarily cruel, and successful in spite of themselves.

Can't believe Geelong are 4-0.  The club that doesn't have to do rebuilds.

They haven’t really been tested.

Adelaide in Adelaide, St Kilda and the Dogs off a 5-day break mightn’t be the hardest fixture so far but sure isn’t the easiest.

They, sadly, appear to be right back in contention.

100%. I did 12 years in fashion and can confirm it is a toxic horrible environment full of narcissists and a-holes!

Has made every other brand I’ve managed a walk in the park since. Nothing makes you grow thick skin like that industry!

No Danger also...yep, they're well in contention if they stay fit.

Can those old legs carry them through such a long season?

I pray to god it’s a no.

No Cam Guthrie or Rohan either.

The Cats will have a season like the many between 2011 and 2022. Scott is a fantastic coach and will move the chess pieces each round to get the needed wins. Their list management is also first class. But their stars are just too old.

They’ll be 5-0 after next week but could easily be 6-4 or 5-5 after round 10.

Scott will get them 13-15 wins this year but they’ll be shown up in finals. He’s buying time to reinvigorate the team with some free agency pick ups to have another crack.

Here’s to hoping they can’t get any before Cameron, Dangerfield, and Hawkins retire.

19 clearances? [censored] that is insane

Too greedy to ask for a Suns win today?

They received a lot of hype after their first 2 games, but in reality they were against mediocre opponents at home and they probably would’ve won them under Dew regardless.

Big test for them today after a failure at Ballarat.

The feral Pies supporters have gathered in Adelaide. I’m off to the gallery - 100% certain none of them will be there.

Quite right. They used to start seasons well under Dew as well.

I rate them too but not that highly. The big MCG final??? We had that game by miles and coughed it up. We lost that more than them winning it.

I agree it was bitterly disappointing that we blew that final and it leaves a more bitter taste than the Collingwood final who were the better team on the night aside from the last quarter.

However, Carlton lead for much of the second and third quarters so it’s not as if they came from the clouds to win the game, and they handled the final two minutes far better than we did. Will unfortunately hold them in good stead for future close finals in front of a packed MCG.

Suns will do what they always do. Tease and then lose.

I reckon giants by 25 points.

I just watched the Freo dissent decision and I’d like to know what dissent is regarded as now?

Because if dissent is questioning the umpires decision, that happens in every single quarter of every match I’ve seen this year multiple times.

Players on the mark constantly dispute decisions… why no dissent? If the umpire calls a mark and the opposition player on the mark says ‘X player touched it’ or ‘that ball was out of bounds’’ for example, that is dissent. Why was Freo called for it when it gets overlooked constantly in all of these other times?

Bobo, presumably you are a fan of Radiohead. I assume you have a critical lens when you look at the world. I think you know the answer to your question 😊

On a side note - this morning, I was reading about the death of 'music videos' and the art the goes into making them. I'd suggest that the music videos for the OK Computer singles were some of the best of all time as a combination.

Reckon the attendance at this game is bigger than the average gate either of these teams get for their home games.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
