Swans flooding is very good.

It's how they shut us down.

Sydney’s work rate has been incredible so far. Hope it continues.

Such a shame those tackles aren’t rewarded

Wasn't that dropping the ball before that goal?

Htb against De Goey not paid, then softy for Cameron, just too obvious

The fix for a Pies Blues grand final is very obviously on

Just hope Maynard doesn’t get to play in it this time

You cant have the Premiers losing two in a row.  The word's gone out.

The Cameron blocked Grundy's run at the drop before that.  Ignored but the next tiggy given to the Pies.

Mcreary's was a 50/50 play on

The Pies always manage to stay in touch with cheapies from the umps

If he wore red & blue it would HTB. For a thug it’s knocked out in the tackle with no prior opportunity. So much grey….

Maynard gotta be reported for that knee. That is just dirty.

I missed it - what time of the quarter was it?

I’d love to see a graph of momentum shifts in games tracked to show forward half free kicks.

Nobody wants to talk about it but forward half frees are worth their weight in gold, and decide far too many games.

I'm going to throw up. What in gods name was that lump on top of Pendlebury's left shoulder!?!?!

Definitely getting a feeling watching this that last week's loss to Sydney in Sydney really wasn't anywhere near as bad as has been made out...

De Goey gets tackled with the ball and smashed into the ground. Ball up.
Tell me the umpires aren’t corrupt.

Synchronised quoting, very impressive.

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.

  • POSTGAME: Port Adelaide

The Demons simply did not take their opportunities when they presented themselves and ultimately when down by 25 points effectively ending their finals chances. Goal kicking practice during the Bye?
