It's not just because he's tipping us but because he understands what culture means in a club. Think back 12-15 months ago and Collingwood who had issues with De Goey and Ginnivan as well as ongoing off field issues with racism. The club dealt with those things while the playing group kept its eyes on the ball and played the game the way it should be played.

Concerned about culture? Think a club like North Melbourne with its many young players, the very talented player they just lost and the bloke who's coaching them. Good Lord!

Thanks RoCo for pointing out what we all know on here. Corn and his crew won't like it of course

Nice to see some 'balance' at last!

Unbelievably sensible article, always liked Rohan Connolly.

Great into and summary all in the first para:

"Nothing fuels media lust for AFL content like a good off-field controversy. Particularly when it's the off-season and there's nothing else to write about."

It does also make me wounder about the weird commercial media landscape we now live in, when some of the only decent reporting comes courtesy of an American sports channel / news outlet.

He’s a proper journalist. Like Greg Baum. They’re on the margins of mainstream sports journalism now, but only because they refuse to be part of the click-bait garbage media that gives brainless ex-footballers prime air and print time. Needless to say the Herald-Sun won’t be knocking on Rohan Connolly’s door.

Boy some people are quick  to throw stones out of the  Glasshouse . Give it 5 years to test for some one like DGoey Sticks and Stones  with him, it’s only Names with Clarko.  TT different  of course.

By the time you go back a decade at least and your ego driven Ex Pres with his issues plus Maynard’s thuggery you aren’t exactly out of the “woods “ just yet.

Still doesn’t alter the fact that your fans are 75% feral so  don’t go shouting out this soon.

I'm beginning to realise that, just read the GameDay thread, it's Feral City.
