Hear me out, if there was an opportunity to bring either onto our list next year as a player to then transition as a forwards development coach would you take up that opportunity?

A Jack Riewoldt or Tom Hawkins would have been such a huge upgrade on Tom McDonald in both finals series.

Tom Hawkins played 20 games and still kicked 49 goals this year. Remarkable effort.

Jack Riewoldt played 21 games for 33 goals this year also.

Could you imagine the leadership and development impact this would have on JVR, Petty and Jefferson?

I think this is definitely what we should be looking at, could you imagine the impact either of those guys would have on JVR or Petty in just one pre season?

Hawkins would be much better than Riewoldt but I am all for bringing in veterans.

I would also like us to ask Isaac Smith if he is really retired.

Yes from me. Would take either for a multiple year playing into coaching role.

The younger/cheaper options all have limitations as well, plus more experienced/cooler heads would be handy in Finals

Riewoldt will end up in the media, Hawkins on his farm and we have BBB for leadership of JvR and Jefferson.

Don't think it's happening Dazzle even if we wanted it.

Hawkins will not leave the cattery ever

Riewoldt has a new role with the Tasmania franchise

I agree with the consideration of a new voice on or off field. A true forward who knows the craft. I would think Stafford should likely be in a new role next year either at the Dees or elsewhere.

Hawkins - won’t happen, can try.

Riewoldt - not for me, he’s done.

We need a fit, physical, agile role playing back up to JVR and Petty. Doesn’t have to be a world beater.

He’s an option but we need one more genuine tall in case Petty or JVR are both out.

Ablett Jnr. as the new foward coach pls.

Need the mids / forwards to come together as a team.

Our method and delivery into 50 much of time must be a forward's worst nightmare.

Some run & class coming out of the middle.  It's non existent at present unless Kozzy gets on the end of a few and Goody rarely plays him here so new blood is needed.

Spargo is about it as far as the delivery goes and he just doesn't get enough of it to make a big impact regardless.

McAdam hopefully a big upgrade on Chandler.

Completely unsubstantiated by hearing we’re having a dip at Hawkins.

We would be silly not too. 49 goals in 20 games this year is pretty impressive considering his age.

What's the offer? 2 year contract?

That’s what I’m hearing, I also expect he’ll decline but I haven’t heard any details
