Hi guys,

Very premature I know but I have some family up in brissy and was looking to make the trip up to see them if we got through.

Does anyone have any knowledge of it will be a Friday or Saturday game?

It seems like Pies will have Friday and Brissy Saturday but will give port Vs GWS only 6 day break?

Anyone have any knowledge?

I just love that you have family up there, but you'll only go see them if Melbourne is playing.

I know I’m sorry!!

More bc I think I’ll head up regardless and thought I could catch the game Vs whoever it is with my family.

The lack of fixturinf clarity is strange!

The last 10 years has seen the number 1 ranked side get the Friday night prelim. Thus I expect Collingwood will get the Friday night prelim.

I think the AFL are currently determining what time the Brisbane game should commence on the Saturday to ensure the winning VIC club gets home late Saturday to prepare for the GF.

You'd imagine it will start somewhere between 3:20 and 4:40pm.

Return flights from Melbourne are starting at $860 according to Webjet. I shudder to think what they'll be come this Saturday

I think Pies will be locked in for Friday night given they were the higher ranked side.

I also believe there is a curfew at Brisbane airport, so the team who plays up there will need enough time to catch the last flight out.

No no no...think it through

Theyll want that as a sat night game... giving potentially the Filth extra advantage.

And im not kidding

Can't see a 3:20 start in Qld

Next Thursday for example has a predicted top of 33 degrees

A hard fought win in the draining heat of Brisbane was one of my many fears in this final series.

My logic would be the Qld match on the Friday night but nothing about the AFL is logical as we all know

It’s a bit of a conundrum because many of us have complained for years about the slippery, dewy conditions you get at Queensland twilight/ early evening!

Very different in September to March when we played them last.

driest weather you’ll get there in September.

Well now we’re hexed.

Now I have to do a good deed.

Give my neighbour some help with his ikea kitchen or ‘try to smother’ a Collingwood supporter at woolies...

I will see you guys later, gotta go up the shops.

I can just see the AFL scheduling us for the night game at 7:30PM for "ratings", but Carlton for 3:20PM to help them get home and nicely tucked in.

Very premature. Not quite as bad as the clowns last year who said we were guaranteed a prelim the moment Brisbane beat Richmond in the EF but done for the right reasons. I'm thinking Sat twilight.

The last ten years saw the number 1 ranked side get the Friday night Qualifying final too

The Pies get to pick when they want to play, so they’ll play Friday

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
