If there is a trade for a higher pick we know JT has targeted this player for some time. He is the master of getting his man, or attempting to get his man. Bailey Humphrey was our target last draft and this kid will be a gun.

Has weapons with his run and carry and an elite pace and endurance mix that brings him into contention early. 

If not him? The Demons have been in the thick of the action. If Nick Watson gets this far, he is favourite to be picked. Zane Duursma would also be snapped up. Under this scenario the question would be on the Dees grabbing Dan Curtin or letting him pass and also what the Dees would do if West Coast offered their future first-round pick? It seems more likely they will hold their own pick, but they have continued attempts to get up the board, including to Hawthorn's No.4 pick using a future first-round selection.

Tholstrup played most of the season with Subiaco's senior side so is ready for the step up at that level and he is prepared for a move away from Western Australia. Tholstrup was invited to attend draft night, showing the early interest in him, but he has chosen to watch from Perth with more family and friends.

I’m starting to think we will swap picks with the Dawks. They need as many high picks as they can get in their rebuild and Curtain would be a target given their need for talls more than a small forward. Why draft Ginnavan and grab Watson?

I don’t see the point in this unless the club has plans for a trade next year. Would this include a swap of picks with WC for a future first and this years pick 6?

It says in Cal’s Phantom that we have already offered the Hawks 6 and our F1 for 4. Was thinking the same as you, if they say no, offer 6 & 11, and take Watson.

My read is that it's just to have more draft capital next year for a pick we likely won't use this year.

Adelaide, Brisbane and Carlton all have f/s or academy prospects that they'll want to stockpile picks for. Gives us more room to trade up next year. Probably other clubs too.

I thought we wanted Duursma and Caddy and Sullivan and Curtin and Windsor and of course Reid.
