Hipwood set up that goal taking a risk from half back

Now that was touched!

Assuming we beat Hawthorn we basically need to tank the last game against Sydney.

Pies don’t look fit. They’ve run out of legs again.
Surely they’re not loading now

A penny for your thoughts @binman

Brisbane look alright but how serious are the Pies?

This isn't Collingwood's best by any stretch

Port should have Freo and Richmond covered. Brisbane win and we can just about lock in 4th

So you think they aren’t trying two weeks out from finals? Rubbish.
They have nothing in the tank. Not even the air of invisibility that they had a month back.

1st or 2nd is the same yeah? So the Pies have very little incentive to go all out (De Goey rested etc) ... and that includes against the Don's next Friday

But we can't be sure of any result including tonight

Port will probably win their last 2 but if we knew that for sure, we could make a lot of money

We beat the Hawks and then rest our best players against Sydney (why risk injury?) ... 4th place and then launch

Remind me to not go on here next week when the 'IS RESTING PLAYERS RISKING FORM?' debate starts. I already avoid any posts that mention 'loading' on either side of that debate, haha

Collingwood are going down like flies so I think I need to accept that Brisbane are going to win. Murphy looks like he's out so Collingwood losing to the DONS looks like a real possibility.

Collingwood are a bunch of no hopers that can't get off their butts to get a job right now.

Murphy looks very dejected. If him and Moore aren’t fit they basically have a backline of flankers.

Yet Howe's still forward

And I wonder what Michael Christian will say about the dump tackle by McCreery?  Remind me who did Christian play for??    PS: was anything said about the one on Rivers late last week? Or was the Carlton exemption card played?

Was curious too whether Rivers’ perpetrator was cited. But looking on AFL app I couldn’t find anything. Obviously the no injury - no case to answer……

If it was the earlier rounds both would’ve received a week…..but somehow the rules change

Insanity. We need to pump Hawthorn and Sydney by 60 points and go into September flying.

Pies are horrific.

Further to my last post, the way Collingwood are playing tonight, they’re just as likely to lose to Essendon next week (who always rise to the occasion of that matchup) which would mean Brisbane would finish 1st. Finishing 4th and playing them first up, then Carlton if we lost, a disaster

If the cocky Pies drop the last game of the season top spot will be gone.

Lucky for them they play Essendon. No chance.

Good night top 2.

Too many silly losses through to early July have cost us, when we went in as clear $1.20 favourites.

Yep

GWS

Freo

Carlton

any others ?

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
