Hawthorn are going to be a huge challenge next week.

They will be.

And a big factor is we will struggle to come up from last nights game such was it's intensity.

I'm glad the Hawks have travel, and one less day to recover.

They will look to to to us exactly what they did to the Pies - run us of our feet

Port probably have second locked up, and the all important home final, if they can beat Freo on the road next week.

That would be crud apples.

What a difference a week makes.
Things going against us at every turn this week.

Look, no one wants to hear it now, but this Port game is why we shouldn’t sell games to NT. Why would we give up home ground advantage in such a tight race? Lost that by less than a goal. If that was 4 points we are second.

Its a losing mentality selling games.

Yeah it’s definitely not a football first decision by our club.

Hopefully we get rid of it some time in the near future.

We've dropped a few too many games against top 8 teams in close margins that we should have won.

Another soft call of a goal.

Watching the Richmond game and they took 90 seconds to decide if Riewoldt took a mark on the line or not.

Last night they made a game deciding call in 35 seconds.

If we can win one of the next two, we will have a home final against the Pies without Nick and a double chance.

That’s probably our best result at this stage.

How ironic would it be for finishing 4th being the best option?

That my friend is a magnificent result

"INSUFFICIENT EVIDENCE!!"

- as per... every. time.

The umpires are exonerated for their decision making.

Jonno Ralph - letting us all know that the AFL have 'ticked off' the decision on Petracca's non goal last night... FMD.

100% agree now.

Probably good to see the Lions beat Collingwood next week just to dent Collingwood’s confidence and form further, and Port winning at least the same number as us after today.

We will beat Collingwood in a qualifying final at the MCG. We would be underdogs in the other games.

If we did finish 4th, the loser of that match (1st v 4th) will probably end up playing Carlton at the MCG the following week. Still would prefer that situation as I’m confident we’d beat Collingwood.

And with Moore maybe touch and go.

Just need to get it done against the Hawks then we can do whatever we need to against the Swans to get the final match up we want.  The exact reason why all last round games should be played at the same time.

Don't discount HQ's Operation Blues Top 4.

I know it was a few days ago but just catching up. Why did Tim english take that kickout? Where was Caleb Daniel or someone else

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
