Miraculously only 4 points down at half time.

I hope Goody peels the paint off the walls at half time.

Don’t think goody has it in him. Need a good old fashioned spray. Hope choco has a crack at em

Well we couldn't have played much worse, particularly in that first quarter, and we're only 4 points down.

Pressure still nowhere near the standard it needs to be and the amount of fumbles is concerning. Is it wet down there?

I've respected the way Harmes has fought to carve out a career but his time is up for us. Soem players need to figure out they're playing for a spot in our best 22 come finals. Oliver and Fritsch are automatic ins.

If ever a gameday thread was appropriately negative it's this one. Blimey what an awful first quarter and a half.

I'm sure Goody will regroup them at half time and just tell them to get back to playing the way we know.

I expect us to come out this 3rd quarter and dominate

He sprayed Gawn at half time last week. He absolutely has it in him. Did you not watch him as a player?

We don’t have the killer mongrel instinct in us . Goody and gawn leadership culture doesn’t give us the killer instinct

Except for winning a premiership.

Umpiring is embarrassing.  I’ve watched more footy this weekend than I have for a while and I had actually begun to hope the umpiring had turned the corner.  That was an illusion obviously.

It's been shocking all weekend.  Someone got the ball blatantly knocked out of his hands yesterday too and again no 50 to be seen.  Really poor.

Quite a few look a long way off it today. Kozi , Max, Chin , Viney keeping us in it. Geez Harmes looks a shadow of himself tho… it’s sad to see him like this. I think this is the last we’ll see of him.

Agree. But I thought that last week, and here he is!!!

Which team does? We beat North by 90 earlier in the year. Did we lose our "killer instinct" between then and now?

This has mostly been an issue with our bottom 8-10 players absolutely not showing up, and that's on them to fix.

Hahahaha, I find I can remain calm in these games until the last quarter. If they get 30 up with 10 to play I’ll throw my dog off the verandah

Would love to know Viney’s TOG in the first half. I would say it’s low. We are managing the mids loads today and I expect he will play most of the last quarter and we will hopefully run over the top of them.

A big second half of 12 possies for Riv and two more goals to Petty and Melky and I’ll be $2500 richer.

Wish you luck with that, needed Gawn to kick that goal from the pocket for a big payout last week.

Always like this down there, that end has all the scores. Next qtr they just need to go defensive and counter punch them in the last with the wind

Little to no wind today, so should have zero impact

While that was horribly frustrating and saddening, what it shows is that we can still find a foothold in games even when the game isn’t on our terms. Its a contrast to the Pies who only have one way back in to games.

It still bewilders me that Hibberd is onthe bench as a sub when he is one of our best defenders. Plus he’s coming off 31 possessions last week at Casey. We need his foot skills desperately.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
