Demonland 74,450 Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 The Demons are back on the road again and will travel to Blunstone Arena in Hobart to take on the North Melbourne Kangaroos on Sunday afternoon. Who comes in and who goes out? 8 3
BDA 23,048 Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 If Clarry and sparrow are fit they come in for harmes and JJ. 8
Roost it far 10,158 Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Out: Harmes, JJ In: Oliver, Sparrow If we avoid injuries from now on we’re completely unstoppable. 3
dazzledavey36 56,347 Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Give Oliver another week off to be extra cautious. It's North. Sparrow comes in for Woewodin. Woey has had 4 games at AFL level and played in some big games. He'll use this as a great sounding board heading into pre season in what it takes to play 4 quarters of footy. Happy with his development and think he'll be a classy player. 16
YearOfTheDees 3,266 Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 North making West Coast look good at the moment, they better not pull a game out of their [censored] next week. 1 1
dl4e 5,851 Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 This may sound dumb to some people but I would give Max a rest for the week and play Grundy. Just keep him interested. Also after todays game max almost deserves a break. If Oliver fit along with Sparrow then Harmes and JJ out. 17 3

I mean, rebounds happen and all that, but there's only so far you can stretch the elastic. 1 4

A harder decision would be resting May and playing Tomlinson and Smith down back. I'd give Schache a go as sub simply because he covers back and forward and ruck (not fantastically well perhaps) Harmes, Hibberd, Spargo Jordon Woewodin... I'll leave to the selection committee 2
SFebes 4,884 Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 IN: Hibberd (form rewarded), Sparrow (automatic selection) OUT: Harmes, Woewodin Smith for Tomlinson perhaps... 2

A soft opponent so we won't be compromising our chance of winning the game by easing him back in against them. 1
Hellaintabadplacetobe 4,335 Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 I'd be resting Viney for Dunstan this week. He's been a battering ram for 5 weeks and copped another big stinger today that troubled him. Get him primed for Carlton 20 1
SFebes 4,884 Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 They won't bring Oliver back vs North Melbourne in 12'C in Tasmania you'd assume. 10
Little Goffy 14,970 Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Full credit to the radio commentator on 'AFL Nation' for making West Coast v North sound like an epic contest setting the clouds on fire. 1 1

Dusty destroyed us for 3+ quarters and Hibberd has kept him quiet in the past. Hibberd had 32 disposals playing for Casey earlier today. 8

Would only be an upgrade if he played on ball full time, which means Harmes would play half forward full time. At this stage Harmes and JJ are at least maximising their tanks and minimising their many mistakes (to a large but not overwhelming level) by rotating heavily. Edited July 30, 2023 by DeeSpencer
Roy Boy 382 Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Having watched Casey today, have no qualms bringing in Hibberd. Ultimate team man that does team first things all day long. Even at 3/4 time huddle was giving his two cents worth. Woey to have a spell, or Jordon. 2

Hibbo probably should’ve played but his Casey game last week was prolific without being clean and in control. Haven’t seen his game this week but I wouldn’t be surprised if he was still short of a run. He had a serious injury and he needs to be at his peak to perform.
Little Goffy 14,970 Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 4.3 to 1 point in the final quarter and still losing to the abjectly bad last placed team. Gonna be a long flight home across the Nullabor for the Kangaroos. Now I'm trying to figure out if percentage could matter at the bottom of the ladder. Hmm... West Coast have scored 150 fewer points than North and conceded almost 300 more. It would take a few almighty beltings for North to drop that much. I for one endorse the Demon's heading down to Launceston and making the wooden spoon race interesting. 3

Diamond_Jim 12,775 Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Not a bad day predicted for Hobart next Sunday 15 degrees and winds of 15-20kph... very little if any rain 1
Sydney_Demon 1,175 Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Unfortunately Casey have (yet) another bye next weekend so whoever's not playing for Melbourne won't be playing for Casey. I assume they'll play another scratch match against one of the other Clubs who also have VFL Byes. 1
