GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs St. Kilda

Featured Replies

Playing on a dry ground against a defence-orientated low-scoring team and having selected an extra runner, I’m wondering if we are planning to take the game on more this week (like pre-season, rounds 1-2).

Saints will struggle to score 60 points. I think we’ll win.

I really don't understand Melksham instead of Jvr. Yes Milk may be a closer fit to Fritta but Jvr in the dry would be better.

A draw

I don’t understand the rules of this game 😂

Love that we are contenders.

C'mon Dees, keep our season rolling along. Lose, back with the pack and the pressure that comes with having to win.

Viney, Rivers, McVee, Tracc, Salem, have been great. Backline are a beautiful unit, the role players give us the style we want, need marking and turnovers to lead to goals.

Great chance for Woewodin to cement a spot.

A bit of media pressure and hopefully the team responds.

Go Dees.

With that forward line I can't see us scoring more than 50 points. They are not much better so get ready for the most constipated game of the year.

St kilda by 18. I'll be closest without going over.

With our insistence on flooding our own forward line coupled with Ross the Boss and his plan of flooding opposition defences, this is gonna look more like a mosh pit than a footy game. Not expecting this match to be one for the ages

This might not be the only flooding we have to contend with, just to fuel everyones MFCSS  if the stadium goes under water:

and we all know we don't play well in the wet!

When I look at the weather forecasts, it doesn't seem that dramatic.

My guess is it has blown itself out and away.

Pickett / Gawn / Trac will need 10 between them.

Why would you pick a side with only one tall forward, and a slow, cooked one at that.  Wilke will have BBB for breakfast (or being a night game that should be for dinner)  JVR should've been in the side.  Goodwin has lost this game for us at the selection table.

As some have mentioned, hopefully we lower our eyes and try to hit up a leading forward but I'm not holding my breath.

50 points probably.... but how many goals ???

They usual state who the sub is about 1hr before kick off.

Hoping the smalls hit their straps and have a respectful spread of goals. One outstanding quarter, either the first or last, I dont care. Both rucks to stand up and mark strongly. Hyper-awareness of teammates and sniper deliveries by hand and foot. Overhead handballs should be outlawed. How did that get in there??

Dees by 22pts.

Watching this game with no expectations whatsoever

Right now, before the game, it seems as though the imagination is stifled by ongoing needs in our forward line and the additional loss (once again) of Clarry. I just hope some innovation occurs to assist Tracca carry the weight of the entire half of the ground - midfield to deep forward line. I have no expectations of a win but it would be reasonable mortar for a fourth brick placing on the ladder. Let's hope Badloss has had a deeply strategic week and received a knock on the back of the head from some errant six year old on how to have players make space and play like a team in a continuous chain of mobile opportunity. Kicking straight would help, too but one step at a time, I guess. 'Carna Dees (once again).

Spargo to kick 4

You mean Spargo to have four kicks, surely?
