Well done to the Tigers. Great effort for their captain and the cherry on top they're now ........ 9th. 😆

What a day of results for the mighty Dees!

Checker would be turning in his grave 😖

Someone managing the AFL app must be a big Tiger fan.

Usually takes a few hours or more to update ladder positions

All is right with the footy world. Richmond is 9th.

And just like that, covid-19 has completely dissipated and all wars have ceased.

Is there a more ebullient commentator than Tubby Taylor?! He’s a joy to listen to 🤗

Or someone having a laugh.

If only Sydney had got up this would’ve been the perfect weekend for us. With Brisbane and Saints playing next week as long as we beat Geelong next week we’ll either be a game and percentage in third or two games and percentage off fourth. Perfect.

Yep it's all on us to now beat the [censored] on Thursday or all these results in our favour go down the drain. Up to us now to prove we are good enough and win down at Kardinia Park.

After watching the quality of that game in the wet tonight, I'd have to say our 7-goal 3rd quarter at Port Adelaide might be the best quarter of footy played by any team this season.

That Port game was a genuine honourable loss on hostile territory, and is ageing well.

The Freo and Essendon Gather round loss, not so much.

Whitfield possibly going to be suspended and miss against us after their bye next week.

He’ll get off.

Was similar to the J Smith tackle last week in that the head in the ground wasn’t a result of the initial tackle, and the ‘victim’ wasn’t concussed.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
